Then the next year in 1988 when Henry dropped the ball.

****in tragic.

Caught everything that day until he was blatantly fouled by McGhee!

Funnily enough, the ref never saw it.

I was sure it was McGhee, or perhaps it was McGhee that scored?

I thought Henry was fouled

Our goal that day could've been called a foul too

Horrible feeling walking out of Hampden after that. We were almost there

It was one of the worst ever. Just a horrible few years of bitter disappointment after bitter disappointment from 86 - 88 at the business end of the season.

The worst was a 1/0 defeat. The ref O'Donnall? was bent as hell.

Think Wallace sorted him out though.

That was a midweek game and Wallace Mercer put in an official complaint. I was at the game and we had two stonewall penalties waved away. Kevin O'Donnell never refereed again in the top flight.

Keep it up. I love it. Could watch old Scotsports, not just Hearts games either.

Morton games from the late 70s were fantastic,  Ritchie and McNeil were brilliant
