Sergio gets NO touchline ban

So,if vlad/Paulo think is crap then why don't they do what the tims done and PROVE he was lying then,or perhaps they can't,so a media black out is the easiest option to stop people asking to many questions about one thing or another.

Pretty sure, after all vlad carping on about the SFA being corrupt this would have been right up his street to prove he was correct, you would have thought that someone with such a hatred towards them (SFA,media, refs) he would have got his teeth and best lawyers to rip them a new one, come on vlad, your the one making all these accusations, back them up now that you finally have the evidence.

It's not quite that simple. Hearts are bound by sfa law and if they are instructed to keep sfa business quiet they have to unless they fancy funding another sfa xmas knees up. The fact the media have ignored this one speaks volumes again. :whistling:

Some of the replies to the tweet are laughable from OF fans, it really is a conspiracy seemingly.. if it was Neil Lennon this, if it was Neil Lennon that.

I know lol. See when fans act like that, act all paranoid and that. Its really embarassing and cringeworthy. Eh?

Quality man, like thats stopped that halfwit before, did you read his statement on tuesday?

I would say that there is no case to answer, they probably know by now brines is useless, and have more than likely demoted him to the lower leagues.

What was wrong in the statement?

So if Brines has been demoted why was he 4th official at the Dunfermline game after the club had had their reply.

sfa flexing their muscles or taking the piss there I think

Good, then lets see vlad take the SFA all the way,do you think he will,after-all the evidence is there for all to see?

You need to wait until they actually have the meeting to discuss the matter.unsure.gif

Thought this might be the case this time. I expect a 3 or 4 game ban when the hearing for the Kilmarnock game happens.

So he's still getting hammered then?

"You've been censured, so we won't ban you this time... but if you ever do anything like this again Paulo, you'll be in trouble! By the way, your hearing's at 12 on the 17th."

They could do feck all this time tbf, Brines was bang to rights. Just a shame it doesn't appear as though the club will be pursuing it any further.

Do managers normally get touchline bans for comments - or are fines the normal punishment?

Presumably at the next hearing Sergio will get a warning or suspended touchline ban given that his histrionics last weekend were a first offence.

Couldn't tell you C, I have no idea. Presumably fines are the norm for someone who has a history.

I wouldn't be surprised to see them hammer him next time. TBH, I think even getting pulled up for those comments about Brines is a farce - more to do with the rules themselves than the individual incident. The accountability of referees is virtually non-existant on a trasparent level.

Celtic never proved anything, the linesman in that game openly admitted to the press that McDonald had told him what to say.

Unless Tom Murphy decides to give a conflicting story to Brines then the SFA will publicly back the ref over the 'handball' incident at Ayr.

The Club has had a reply

Paragraph 7

But they then go on to say...

"... A club spokesperson said: "The club believes there has been a huge injustice carried out on the field in the first place in relation to our exit in the cup. To compound this with a further off-field investigation into comments made by our manager in relation to the original injustice raises major questions about the game in this country. We will certainly support the manager as the stakes are extremely high for all clubs and indeed the game in this country if such injustices are allowed to continue unabated in the Scottish game... "

So have they then been given a satisfactory explanation as to what the ref and linesman were doing and why? Has this reply placated Hearts?

The Treasurer

This is a massive blow for those that are convinced the SFA is corrupt. :(

Hearts make a polite and reasonable request for an explanation of a very strange decision by Brines.

Sergio states that Brines had given him a conflicting version to the one being given as the "official" one.

While waiting for that explanation the same official is appointed to a Hearts match, Sergio, rightly questions the wisdom of such an appointment.

All this makes the gFA think that Sergio has some sort of case to answer.

Meanwhile Lennon is given a free reign to question the integrity of and argue right in the face of, any gFA employee that he chooses without anyone at the gFA batting an eyelid.

Possibly corrupt is too strong a word, but certainly double standards at least

Ah! But PS hasn't yet used his religion or been threatened or sent suspect packages yet and until he does this and we then hold a candle light vigil for him then we will get nothing from the SFA.

Thems the facts I'm afraid.
