ToadKiller Dog
We would go up if not win the league with our current squad ,if friendlies against championship and EPl teams are to go by in recent history we are better than that league
The Brow
Hearts are a mid championship side from what Ive seen by going to around 10-15 championship games a season, then a few Hearts games whenever Im home. Possibly push for play offs on a good season. Definitely better than League 1, but then look at Brighton and Southampton, who have started the Championship very well. Id like to think we would have come up from League 1 last year, but it was a very good standard, as is being shown by the promoted clubs now. Zander is doing alright at Oldham, I suppose. Six games for the team in twelfth isnt exactly world class but he's now captain and they had a decent win against MK Dons in their last game, even if the first goal was a complete fluke. He's still a ***** ***** though.

Im sure League 1 has an average wage of ?3k a week, take out the top 3 in scotland that is more than any other SPL team.
Adi Dassler
Captain for oldham who won 2-1 last night. How would hearts cope in league 1? Hearts would be no better than a top half League 1 team at the moment. Sad but true. And anyone who thinks otherwise doesn't watch an awful lot of football. We wouldn't survive in the Championship given the bottle merchants in our side.

I watched some of last nights game and would have to agree. The standard looked pretty similar to watching Dunfermline v hibs or St Johnstone v Hearts. Morais and Doumbe who both played for hibs were involved as well as Diamond. Other recognisable players were Shefki Kuqi and Clinton Morrison. Good chance of Hearts surviving in the Championship if they were to get the same amount of TV money as everyone else I reckon.

There are some terrible Championship clubs who play a horrid brand of football. Worse than SPL standard. We wouldn't be in the top half with all the Premiership rejects, but we would comfortably avoid relegation.

At the moment maybe so, but if we were in the championship we would get championship money and therefore we could afford better players then "bottle merchants" we have now. I believe that if Hearts got into the championship/division1 then over time they could do a Swansea!
