wheatfield to sheffield
An idle thought crossed my mind the other day, thinking about which Hearts players who have been called up for Scotland but then never got capped. This goes back to the shock of hearing that Mike Galloway had been called up in 1988 I think. Never played for Scotland as a Hearts player when he was good, mysteriously did when he was at Celtic and not so good. So - a couple of others that I can think of - Steve Fulton (should have been capped) Ryan Stevenson (should never have been considered) any more for any more? wheatfield to sheffield
Kyles played for Scotland when Bertie was in charge. yes, but called up as a JT and then not capped. That was the kind of player I was thinking of. Jim Hamilton I think might have been another

Dalstonjambo
Robbie Neilson? Or did he get a cap? :interesting: Neilson played in Ukraine I think? Pressley gave away a pen and we lost 1-0?
jbee647
These are all players who were called up to Scotland squads but never capped while Hearts players -Ian Crawford, Billy Higgins, Tommy White, Jim Brown , Stevie Fulton , Jim Hamilton and Ryan Stevenson Jim Townsend and Alan Anderson were called up to a Scotland touring squad of Australia and the Far East in 1967 and both played in 6 games, but it was called a B squad because at that time Australia were not recognised as being important enough to merit a full cap. I think it was Neilson that gave away the penalty and not Pressley? Edit: just noticed someone beat me to this point
