Gambo
Anyone else hear John Collins talking about Keith Jackson on Radio Scotland tonight. Safe to assume they are not the best of mates. He said KJ used to write Kevin Thompsons column in the Record and used that column to help push the Thompson to Rangers angle, JC was not best pleased with this tactic and asked him right out the next time he saw KJ at a game if he was on the payroll of Willie McKay or Glasgow Rangers. KJ did not like that someone had the balls to ask the question and ever since he has tried to attack and undermine JC at every opportunity including hasseling Simon Brown and others who left the club for stories on JC (incl the '6pack' story). JC did not hold back and has went up slightly in my estimation.

tazhearts
Have to admit he came across quite well. Sounds to me like the hibs players weren't happy because they were having to train and look after themselves like professional athletes. Something which is alien to British players. bighusref
...then he went further down in MY estimation when he had a huffy statement on the BBC website as he couldn't get the players he wanted. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/h/hibernian/7195200.stm I want Hearts to sign Ronaldo, Rooney and Vidic from United, that makes me a good manager. If your quoting JC word for word surely it should have been mentioned. Secondly Jackson isnt a journalist, he's a rent boy for the Old Firm, taking it baw deep ever since he picked up a pen. primrose
Jckson never got mentioned in the BBC transcript of JC's interview.... whats that all about. the wee scrote gets away with murder. Well I might have to break my self imposed exile and go back on Real radio when he is on. I wonder what his editor thinks about all this, surely Kackson (he has changed his name, as published in Wendesdays record) has blown his intergrity and credibility as a spost journalist, by using his ghost writer status to unsettle a player and get him transferred to the team he supports. Looking back I did notice a real change in the general slant of Kevin Thompsons record column, and now we know why. It would not surprise me if there was some form of Kickback to KJ from Willie Mackay, ALLEGEDLY!!! A journo without professional integrity and credibility is just as fan with a laptop. A job with Rangers news perhaps?

Shaggy2
I really enjoyed Radio Scotland last night. Neither the journos or Collins (or even some Hibs fans) pulled any punches. And to be fair to six-pack he took all the criticism as well as praise and answered all criticism pretty well IMO. He's still the man whose side got pumped by a pub team!
