Drew Busby !
I've had an HD ready TV for 2 years now, and never taken advantage of HD/1080p yet...got way too many conventional format DVDs in the house, and definitely not going down the Blu-ray route and buying them all over again Thinking that a DVD upscaling player would be an acceptable worthwhile upgrade though... Does it make a noticeable difference ? Anyone got one they would recommend ? Ideally under the 100 quid mark.
bighusref
Would it not be worth considering getting a cheaper Blu Ray player? Gets you your upscaling but it also give you the option to buy new films on Blu Ray. I have been pondering over Blu Ray, and am torn between two Samsung dudes.. http://www.richersounds.com/showproduct.php?cda=showproduct&pid=SAMS-BDP1500 http://www.richersounds.com/showproduct.php?cda=showproduct&pid=SAMS-BDP2500 May be worth a look. Give them a call and ask them to set one up and go and have a wee goosey.

Jed The Jedi
What about a PS3, blueray player, upscaler and games console all rolled into one.
Drew Busby !
Thanks gents... I have a sinking feeling now that I'm going to (happily) talk myself into spending a bit more to get a bit more... along the lines you've suggested. Cheers
