Creating a new website and need info on who would have wore the No8 jersey in the 72-73 season when Hearts wore the Ajax style strip? Cheers JJ Jim Brown looks to be the most common choice. http://www.londonhearts.com/scores/players/brownjim.html But he sometimes wore 6. davieholt
Jim Brown wasn't a forward. Tommy Murray was an old fashioned inside right so no 8 seems about right ?

CostaJambo
Slightly off topic but would my very distant memories of Kenny Aird in the 'Ajax' strip be accurate?
Andrew Gilbert Wauchope
Jim Brown was mainly used in a midfield capacity before later playing as a right back. Jim Brown was more often No 6 than anything. Tommy Murray was often no 8. In my dreams, standing in the shed, I was no 11, feeding Donald Ford with crosses. Sadly, it was not to be..... Serge
Remember that Hearts didn't wear that strip in every game that season. The "Ajax" strip was originally meant for floodlit games only. I'm sure there's a programme photo of Tommy Murray on LondonHearts.com where it is called the "floodlight strip". This may help narrow down the list.
