The Old Tolbooth
It's a barry read, I've had it for nearly 2 years now and digested every page of it, one thing that struck me when I read it was the amount of times Hearts hammered teams back in the 20's and 30's, and regularly scored 7, 8 or 9 goals. Hearts Heritage
The book is a reasonable trawl through the history of Hearts. Though inevitably it concentrates on the 'Big Results'. The earlier reports are of more interest as they also include reports of other teams as well and you get a 'flavour of the era'. By the time it gets to the modern era the type and headlines are bigger and the reports cover 1 or 2 pages devoted exclusively to Hearts.
