Drew Busby !
Same as it ever was lads and lassies. Looking at the last game/exit in each competition this last 3 years. 2 years ago LC Livi 1 Hearts 0 SC Hearts 1 Gretna 1 (bizarre way to win a cup aginst a 2nd division side) 1 years ago LC Hibs 1 Hearts 0 SC Dunfermline 1 Hearts 0 This year SC Motherwell 1 Hearts 0 LC Rangers 2 Hearts 0 Seriously, we've hardly kicked a ball when the chips have been down in any of these games. Truly it is indeed the oft-quoted "new good old bad old days...."
The Merse
I can't rememeber the last time we scored a crucial late goal, to secure an equaliser or a winner. The players are shameless, utterly pathetic.

Sadly we also conceded straight after it. Celtic, December 1st previously.

Truly it is indeed the oft-quoted "new good old bad old days...." The most notable thing amidst this dreadful run has been our complete lack of resilience. Look at the amount of nils next to our name above: Cup football requires sides to think and change on the hoof, which we are singularly incapable of doing. And the longer that unbelievable run of being unable to come from behind and win a game goes on, it's just unrealistic to expect us to win anything. Sad, but true I'm afraid. FORTHCLYDE
I don't have the facts to hand but over the years Hearts have lost in both cups in the space of a week a few times. You would think the disappointment from losing would be fresh in their minds so the would try harder in the second game.
