My only requirements are appearance and usability. Can anyone reccomend me anything? Also, would it be wise to have a look on E-Bay or is that a bit dodgy? Thanks.

I've just returned a samsung f700 (touch screen thingy) cause it was horrible to use, and replaced it with a sony k850 which is much much much better. Easy to use and reliable. In general terms, sony or nokia are best, unless its a nokia N series in which case avoid it like the plague. Pretty LG and motorola things tend to be extremely badly made. Good luck.
