It's been announced that these two Hibernian stalwarts are to leave Hibs in the Summer.

Whilst Hibs fans and the Scottish media laud these guys like they were Beckenbauer & Maldini thought it would be fun remembering some of their better moments.

I will kick off with a big thank you for the Scottish Cup Final in 2012 both players were tragic on the day.

What are everyone elses favourite memories of them?

Mister T

Lewis and Paul, for all those unforced errors, corners and throw-ins. I thank you.

A huge reason Hibs have been held back over the last 2 decades. Shame to see them go.

Pretty gutted. They’ve been fantastic for us and so it’s a sad day tbh.  I wish them a very happy retirement and thank them for their services to the famous Heart of Midlothian.

they leave behind some very able colleagues like Fish, Rocky and others who continue to contribute to our cause so they’ve left Hibs in good hands.

Thanks to both ♥️🇱🇻♥️

Another notable mention is them finishing 3rd (Third) in the Scottish Championship then losing a play off to Falkirk in the 92nd minute and staying down for their 3rd (Third) season.

Devastated tbh.

Doubt they'll be able to replace them with worse which is very sad.

I'll settle for equally as Shit though, which for the Vermin is definitely doable.

Thank you both for your Edinburgh Derby contributions over the last 16-19yrs. Your service to Heart of Midlothian has not gone un-noticed.

I’d like to thank Stevenson for being neither fast enough nor strong enough to prevent Humphrys from adding our third in January 2023 at Tynecastle. Ushered him in nicely.

Hanlon's special derby moment when he let Olly Lee walk round him with ease to score at Easter Road

Sad to see them go. No matter who Hibs recruited and how great a form they were in, you saw those two on the team sheet and knew you had a chance.

Having said that, Hibs record of centre half signings is diabolical, so hopefully it continues

Hopefully we get to see the pair of them in the dugout for hibs some day

And Hanlon again for allowing Simms to swat him away like a fly before this Halliday equaliser.

Hearts stalwarts we should give them a testimonial.

And the best thing is they are the best two defenders currently at the club.

At least they care.

Surely can’t be many Hibs players (maybe Newell right enough) with a worse derby record than these 2 losers

Stevenson did.

Hanlon missed out on part of his legacy.

The only crumb of comfort we can take from this is in 15 years they’ve not been able to recruit better than these two. If that continues then we should be ok.

Thanks guys  for resisting a multitude of top  clubs  interest,  who were screaming out for your signings  and staying at hibs and resisting  funny money and certain success

Mr Sifter

I thought Stevenson was outstanding in the 2016 League Cup Final. Both he and his side played well that day…until they Hibs’d it by conceding a 90th minute winner.

Was quite shan iirc.

To be fair to them both they didn't just help us win the 2012 Scottish Cup final, they played their part in the the semi final victories of 2020 & 2022.

Hearts 2-1 Hibs (AET): Boyce nets winner from penalty spot as Hearts reach final

Hearts 2021/22 end-of-season awards: Player of the year, best signing, worst moment

He'll be strutting about their shitehole as the derby big dog then. Pretty good going for one of their players to have such a good record.
