It's not a good idea, a salesman with years upon years of experience generating millions of pounds worth of business for a company should only be paid 5% more than a school leaver with no experience? Christ everywhere I've ever worked there's been more that a 5% differential to account for experience and time served with the company and that's just between workers on the same pay band far less between top and bottom in the company. Like this one. Anyone who wants PT training or private facilities can pay accordingly but council owned facilities should be free for anyone and everyone. Not just gyms but swimming pools too. Ribble Ltd Highest earner £1,000,000 Lowest earner cannot earn less than a set percentage of that £1,000,000 5% was just a random figure that came out but if we use that figure then the lowest earner couldn't earm less than £50,000. That figure is pretty high so it could be 2% or 3% or whatever. I haven't done the maths. This wouldn't cause any difference to the wages in between the highest and lowest earners. It would mean, though, if you, as CEO of Ribble Ltd wanted to give yourself a raise there would be a ripple at Ribble in the wages lower down the pay scale. This would definitely make the world a better place, which was the whole point of the thread 😁
