Who's the Portuguese manager? What's the crowds at our B and under age teams and costs of them, does that concern you as well or just the wumin? Can anyone actually answer the question? OK Spanish manager.

Sooperstar
What's the point in this being at Hampden? Cannae be more than a couple of hundred there. If they genuinely want to grow the game then surely a semi final between 2 Edinburgh teams at midday on a Sunday would be far better played in Edinburgh. They played an actual cup final in Edinburgh a few weeks ago FFS.

There are direct and indirect benefits, if folk don't see that, then that is on them. Woman's football is part of our club, if it bothers folk then it probably says more about them as individuals. 2-0, chance of a trophy for them as well! Ridiculous this game is in Glasgow. Chambie15
Good to watch a game of football without the theatrics/feigned injuries or getting brushed on the shoulder making your legs give way…. From where we were 3/4 years ago to now just goes to show the level of investment the club’s making in our women’s team.

Cade
The old "it's a drain on the club finances and should be shut down" argument doesn't hold water. According to that way of thinking, about 99% of all men's teams should also be shut down. Anyhow, this is another great result for the Hearts women team who have had an excellent season. It'll take time to right the historical inequality and decades of women's football being held back, both from a quality and a financial perspective, but that's the direction most will be hoping to go. Women were banned from association football in Scotland from 1920s until the 1970s, that's going to have an impact, where as women have been playing professional tennis since the 1870s. A hundred years is quite a gap to bridge. I'd also argue it'll take more time for a team sport versus individual sport where if you have enough money you can invest in trainers, nutritionists etc to get elite. That could help a footballer too but you are still reliant on another 10 players for performance at the end of the day. Anyway, congratulations to the women's team getting to the final. Great achievement.
