Female goalkeepers are generally too small for full size goals. I don't know if adjusting the size of the goals would help, but it makes it look very amateurish when they concede goals like that. Not unrealistic for a girl of say 5ft 10in (?) to be able to jump up and touch the bar, looked to me more like just poor goalkeeping than her being too small. But fair dos their height is definitely a disadvantage compared to the reach of a Zander or Craig.

Remember most clubs in the woman’s football in Scotland are semi professional and have amateur players who get expenses and no payment. If you look at woman’s teams around the world there are some good goalkeepers! I believe Hearts are trying to go fully professional over the next few years. Joel could touch the bar, but unfortunately did not have the ability to touch the ball from any shots on target! Back on topic, I agree that reducing the size of the goals would benefit the ladies game along with size of the pitch. Nothing against ladies football, but as Dragons’ Den say “I’m Out”

For most of the match you could hear nothing apart from the Hibs bench swearing loudly. Hibs class - dragging the women’s game down to their lowlife level. Delighted for them and the wannabe Green Brigade on the other side of the pitch that the outcome conformed to the Natural Order.

Appreciate the current set up of the game in Scotland, and just to be clear, I was less having a go at the Hibs keeper, than arguing the point that maybe there isn't a need for smaller goals. Saint Jambo
4 minutes ago, Mikey1874 said: Worth noting that the women's team have now surpassed their points total from last season (49) with 6 games remaining. When they had a couple of poor results earlier in the season some fans were complaining we had gone backwards because we weren't clear in fourth, but in reality it was more a case of Hibs and Patrick picking up more points. Our points total was about the same at that stage as last season. A higher points total and taking points off each of the top 3 are good signs of improvement. naeclue
I thought the team stepped it up nicely in the second half. We kept pushing forward, and were aggressive in the tackle and closed down Rangers. Good progress this season, with more to come, and a great spirit about the team. Fantastic. Edited April 17 by naeclue
