John Findlay
Has died aged 90. Was manager of Northern Ireland at the world Cup in Spain in 1982 and four years later at Mexico 86. When Northern Ireland really did punch above their Weight. RIP Billy.
McGlynn The Money
Very sad news. My old boss was from NI and his dad supported Sunderland because of Billy Bingham. RIP.
ri Alban
Some team were NI. When Scotland went out I wanted them to do well.

been here before
That 80s Northern Ireland team were something else. Jennings, Armstrong, McIlroy, Dave McCreery, Whiteside, Jimmy Nicol all great players. A once in a lifetime group under a once in a lifetime manager and it just all clicked for them under Bingham. To be honest though I thought he died years back.
