Tragic story, terrifying, and yet very little press coverage of this case in the UK. The circumstances around her disappearance are frightening, and it really doesn’t seem like this is going to have a happy ending. Given the worldwide publicity the McCanns got, I’m surprised this case hasn’t been widely reported over here. 4 year old FFS. As was Madeleine. Poor wee girl. The Internet Posted October 26, 2021 Share Posted October 26, 2021 As terrible as it is I'm sure young children go missing every day and if every case got worldwide attention there wouldn't be anything else in the news. Some cases will get more attention than others, it's just a fact of life. Either way just googling her name brings up tonnes of articles from the UK media. Awful. 😩😩😩 The McCanns started the media feeding frenzy , literally fed them information about the investigation (when they weren't lying about the actual direction of the investigation, ie they themselves were suspects) and used friends and media / legal connections to influence public perceptions of them and the Portuguese authorities. Hopefully the Aussie kid will be found (I'm not following it) and justice will eventually be done for Madeleine McCann. The McCanns aren't a good comparison. How does someone manage to unzip a tent in the middle of the night, pick up a 4 year old in her sleeping bag and dash off with her without waking up anyone in the tent?
