At least he's tries to be positive.

Not like some who depress the hell out of everyone.

It’s more about being realistic. Had we had a season like we did 6 years ago there would be plenty to be looking forward to. Alas.

Theoretically we should be able to win home and away against the bottom 6.

Thats 54 points.

Win our home games against the top 6 teams outside the old firm.

Thats 18 points.

1 win against Celtic and 1 against Rangers.

Thats 6 points.

Nothing there should be seen as overly optimistic for a club with out budget.

It would get us 78 points - that would put us 2nd this season.

And I thought I was an optimist 😀

I did say theoretically 😂

I'd accept top 6 and a cup semi as 'passable'.

The slight upturn in fortunes is cause for optimism but the target has to be just avoid the bottom three. Over 40 points.

Whose target? Certainly not mine.  Won't be Neilson's.  Won't be the board's.  Won't be FOH.

If you think that's a realistic target, good and well, but I certainly don't agree.

With our budget, 5th place is the absolute minimum and even then that's a poor season.

Semi final of the cups should be the aim.

Start winning games at the pishy wee clubs for a change.

I will tell you at the end of the season what my expectations are, and, what’s more, I will be correct .:verysmug:

How about the team plays to its maximum capabilities every game.

If we then lose, then we accept that and move on.

Do that and the players and management can be rewarded with a pay packet at the end of the week.

I just want to enjoy the football.
Fight. Desire. Improvement.

If it’s under current management, and it certainly looks like it will be then fair enough.

That's my solution too!

I'm still the guy that dislikes rangers more than Hibs. Don't tell lies about folk wanting hibs to win the sc tho.

Don't be a liar. Don't be that guy.

In all seriousness:

- We've finished better than 5th once in the last 10 years.

- We've been 3rd or better 4 times in the last 15 years which includes the 2nd place.

- We've been relegated, twice, albeit with extenuating circumstances

- We have been awful in parts this year.

- we all know this squad needs serious work

I'll be happy with top 6. Anything more would represent wild success vs our average performance in the last decade.

Top 4 should be a stretch goal.

Top 6 the goal.

Avoiding a relegation battle the minimum requirement
