jblair182
I’m expecting big things from this boy this season and glad to have him back so keen go sing his praises but the current number includes a former DOF and a 3 year deal we may not want to be as bullish about. So I suggest the new and improved Olly Lee song as follows. (To the tune of December 1963 by Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons) OH, WHAT A STRIKE, lil Late Dec-em-ber it was Ol-ly Lee He ru-ined Christ-mas for the Hi-bees OOOHHH, I I RE-MEM-BER WHAT A STRIKE ^’vwhistt Edited September 3, 2020 by jblair182 My
BackOfTheNet
Let’s wait and see how he actually plays before he gets another song. I swear the Olly Lee chant gave him far too much slack with supporters last time around.

gashauskis9
Classic JKB thread, slating someone for just wanting to be positive and get behind a player. POTY - you heard it here first. I think I’m in the minority who really rate the lad. Our strongest midfield in years included him, Haring and Djoum. No surprise our midfield was shite last season without them. One of few players willing to have a shot on goal from distance or beat the first man with a corner. Not really, had a good fair few assists chipped in with the odd goal. I like him, trued to pick a pass, not scared to have a dig, decent set piece taker and chipped in with goals and assists. No world beater but better than what we had last season.

Just for the record as the first replier to this post that I wasn’t slating the OP or Lee. But particularly in the second half of the season when key players were injured and we couldn’t afford passengers he was a passenger. Not his fault as such, his game didn’t suit what we needed and he had zero pace. My main gripe is not with him though, it was with the fans that would loudly heckle and boo certain players who were giving it their all and playing decent and in the next breath sing Lee’s name when he wasn’t playing anywhere near as good as the players getting slated. So my issue with the post isn’t the positivity towards a player, far from it, it’s more that we should hang fire with the adulation until we see. GinRummy
Happy to see how he does this season. No really interested in songs for players who have been in really poor form for ages then didn’t hang around to fight the threat of relegation. So nut. 1971fozzy
Lee is better than most of the charlatans that played for us in midfield last season that’s for damn sure. looking forward to seeing the lad play for us again.

Tend to agree. Any positivity gets shot down in flames on here, and we all just sit and sing the same three songs over and over again at the match. jblair182
I have to admit that this song has made me more enthusiastic about Olly Lee’s return I do think he will do well this season though. His best games have come alongside Haring so hoping their both in the team. Also think better options in attack will help players like Lee/Irving and the centre backs who are looking to play the ball forward as the lack of movement in attack has been chronic for the last 18+ months. Anyway, the main point is that the song is good. Let’s get it sung.
Jim Panzee
I think Lee will be fine in the championship. plenty more time on the ball compared to the league above. buaben & gomis were great at that level.

Musemic
One of the most average players in recent memory to have his 'own song' so I don't really think he warrants another. Weakened Offender
My memory of Olly Lee was that he was a very decent player when we we were flying, linking up well with Naismith in particular, and pretty rotten when it fell apart. Like they all were. If he returns to the first team I think he will do well.
