Let that sink in. A winger beats a man, crosses...and we score.

Yet stats used by coaches say goals don't come from crosses ?

Putting 2+2 and getting 5 but could the trialist be Ruben Sammut, ex Chelsea youth, someone said on here last week Robbie was keen on him.

What’s the score?

Read the thread to find out. It's only 2.5 pages long.

Yeah, but if he doesn’t ask a certain amount of questions per day, then his home planet dies 😢

I think he would be a fantastic signing as well mate. Don’t think he is too bad on the ball as well tbh, bit more to his game than just running and attitude.

Aye you’re right actually I’m maybe under stating his ability a fair bit. He’s certainly better than what we’ve had and for free he’d be a steal IMO

Hope Akpan is my guess but I hope it’s not. League 2 in England standard. 29 years old. No thanks.

majority of his games in England have been in the Championship. Is your assessment based on anything?

Looks like a decent pedigree to me.

Number of games in England at decent clubs.

If it's him, found this on net: Hope Akpan

Club: Bradford City
Status: Released
Age: 28
Appearances: 23
Goals: 4
Assists: 0

Hope Akpan would be another one of those signings who, as well as being a potentially tidy option for Argyle, would also be a signal of intent to the rest of the league that we’re in League One to compete rather than simply make up the numbers. Akpam came through the famed Everton academy and whilst he wasn’t quite good enough to make it for the Toffees, he’s enjoyed a career at (mostly) higher levels than the one Argyle are playing at now.

A promising start to his career at Crawley saw him go on to feature prominently for a few Championship clubs, Blackburn most notably. As with many players on this list, his career has taken a bit of a stall in more recent years, being relegated from this league with Bradford in 2018/19. That said, man for man it wasn’t a relegation side and he was proving more than competent in their bid for promotion this season before the lockdown stopped football.

It’s notable too that he played for Nigeria four times. Taribo West was the last Nigerian international to don the green shirt and if nothing else, we’re sure Akpan would do a far better job…

Lord Beni of Gorgie

Pretty good resemblance to this Akpan chappie .

Height would tie in about 6 2 .

Did we make our players piss all over their pitch afterwards? Hope so.

No Smith, Boyce, Hickey or Zlamal either.

Nothing much happened yet, I take it?

Smith and Boyce are on International duty and Naismith and Berra are both recovering from minor calf injuries.
