graygo
Cancelled? We heard loud aircraft noise and ran out to the garden but the low cloud cover meant we couldn't see anything. Assumed it was the Red Arrows. ☹️ Edit: apparently it was them we heard 😁 The flights were able to be heard from a distance, but the low cloud forced the planned flypast over Edinburgh Castle to be called off. XXX
Just to confirm that today’s Edinburgh Red Arrows Flypast was not cancelled because the SFA and SPFL discovered the flight plan took them over Tynecastle Park giving Hearts unfair exposure. Салатные палочки
Heard them departing Prestwick from Irvine beach park today. For small planes they don't half collectively make a big noise. Actually the surrender of Imperial Japan was announced by Emperor Hirohito on August 15th and formally signed on September 2nd, 1945, bringing the hostilities of World War II to a close. This event that you describe as 'pathetic' kind of falls in between. Maybe you meant 'partriotic' in deference to all those who give their lives in the conflict.
