Great Movie Soundtracks

Recommended Posts

reaths17

not a movie but the theme from "reilly ace of spies" by Shostakovich, has to be one of the most fitting given the loneliness of his life as the spy.

brought to mind as the series is being shown on some channel and i meant to record it and forgot, very haunting tune for those who permit a bit classical music to infect their ears

The Wanderers and Quadrophenia would be my choices.

With the Wanderers if I play it in the office I usually tell the girls it is dirty dancing 2 so they don’t complain.

unlike quadrophenia, the wanderer has never made it on to tv as far as i can remember, probably because of the classroom scene where the teacher asks the students what names they had for each other as in race

It was free on Amazon prime agree the classroom scene wouldn’t be allowed now.

To avoid Tazio's fury, I'll add Flash Gordon as a good film soundtrack. And this as a great film score:

Also...the soundtrack is bloody good on this too.

Someone posted something about a Highlander score.

Queen's A Kind Of Magic album is pretty much the soundtrack to the first Highlander film.

Not for me. A Kind of Magic pretty much took Queen to the top.

The Who Made Who soundtrack is also pretty good for the Stephen King film Maximum Overdrive.  Crap film, great soundtrack.
