Bookies don't need shops. On your phone 24/7.

The FOBTs caused an expansion of Betting shops on our high streets. Without the high stakes and profits made from the 'crack cocain of gambling' there is not enough business to keep so many shops open. The betting shops are now back to where they were twenty years ago depending on horses, dogs, football and other sports with the gaming machines just a supplement to turnover. The big difference now from back then is online betting as you said nobody needs to go into a bookies anymore to place bets. Feel sorry for the staff though many of my ex colleagues will be out of work through no fault of their own.

Must be a huge amount of money from betting firms / casino’s going into English football. Be interesting to see if it changes things down there. Anything else that should be added to your list, or is it just these types of companies? Do you want to ban these companies completely? There's always a bookies next to a boozers. There's 4 bookies in my wee toon. Three are about 100 ft apart. Shocking.

There are hundreds of major companies out there who would love to become involved with Scottish football. Now the Scottish Football Association and the League have to clean up the cancer of sectarianism that blights our game. We need to encourage fans or potential fans to support their local team instead of whether they are orange or green. Buses & cars leaving city’s like Edinburgh, Dundee, Perth ect heading to Old Firm games has to be restricted through education and the clubs doing more in schools and the community’s. Rant over.
