Dallas Green
Thought he was very solid. Had a spill in the first half, after seeing the goal back it went through his legs so probably should have saved it and his kicking was a wee bit wayward... however, he looked very assured, took crosses well, saved Washington from a possible OG and the conditions were absolutely horrendous for a GK. I think he is gonna be an excellent signing. I like how he wanted to play out from the back too. Looked for wee dinks into midfield as well. Tom Hardy’s Dug
I’m a fan of Levein and did feel the keeper position needed addressed. I don’t get the positive vibes from last night so much. He didn’t have anything to do, other than the goal where the ball went through him and when he nearly cost us a goal. His distribution probably hit a Hearts player less than 25% of the time. He does have an air about him though and a kind of presence. But the real test will be next week. Last night was a tick box exercise in getting your debut out the way. NLTFTh
People knocked Bobby, yes he did have a few bad decisions but as your only ever as good as those protecting you then what chance has any keeper got playing behind the likes of the Hearts captain? I fear for any keeper playing for Hearts..
E6 Inc
Dont think hes found a Hearts player with a kick yet. Would need to see it again but first impression was he should be coming for the cross at their first. Not entirely sure he's going to fix our keep situation. Slightly worrying. OTT
I wouldn't read too much into it when your captain can't take control. Joel will prove himself over the next few games and his confidence will grow.

Most have had enough of an uninspiring coaching team and see the same things happen week in week out. In truth, they feel an odd victory here and there just prolongs the mediocrity as we never find consistency.

Maybe there is a communication breakdown between him and the keepers, but a few times now he's been caught in a 'whose ball is it?' leading to a goal. He isn't a ball playing centre half, so keeper more likely to just hoof it anyway. Felt last season's unbeaten run was down to the two centre halves Souttar and Dunne. Had they been present for the Murrayfield semi we'd have won without Naismith. Just not convinced by Berra right now, and once Souttar is fit, any back two pairing should always be Souttar and Halkett with Berra sitting out.
