keith Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 Wondering if anyone could recommend a decent place to eat between Edinburgh & St Andrews. Will be a group of about 10 guys so nothing fancy, just good grub at a reasonable price. Thanks in advance.

Aparently its won loads of awards. Big fat Jockmitchell's been, he might be able to tell you more.
Craig_ Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 The Peat Inn just outside Cupar's supposed to be incredible. Possibly a bit upmarket for what you're looking for, but highly rated nonetheless.
Therapist Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 The Peat Inn just outside Cupar's supposed to be incredible. Possibly a bit upmarket for what you're looking for, but highly rated nonetheless. You have to book well in advance for the Peat Inn and it's expensive. Not the sort of place you'd go with a group of 10 guys. The Anstruther Fish Bar is a cracking suggestion. Alternatively, most boozers in St Andrews do decent pub grub.
Cigaro Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 Wild Bean Cafe At BP Connect. Gourmet on the go.
Uberjambo Posted January 24, 2008 Posted January 24, 2008 The Bay Inn at Dalgety Bay is excellent. Great menu and surroundings at a great price. Sheesh, you would never know I know the owner eh!
keith Posted January 25, 2008 Author Posted January 25, 2008 Thanks for any ideas so far, anyone got any suggestions for a good place in Edinburgh?

Jambojohnnyboy Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 Italian - Papilio in Bruntsfield is really good.
Therapist Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 say approx ?10 -12 for a main course, open to any suggestions on type of food Centotre on George Street. Central, truly great Italian food, good wine list at reasonable prices, and lively.
FERRYABROAD Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 Would highly recommend The Boathouse on Queensferry high street. Try the bistro area, right in your price range, you won't be dissapointed.
Everybody loves Baz Posted January 25, 2008 Posted January 25, 2008 La Piazza, italian at the west end is very nice.
