adeb74
Time Table for Saturday 26th January 2007 Due to engineering work between Dundee and Aberdeen, there will be a replacement Bus service in operation. Please see below for special timetable. Edinburgh Waverley TRAIN (d) 10:10 - 10:26 - 11:10 Edinburgh Haymarket (d) 10:13 - 10:29 -11:13 Dundee (a) 11:24 -11:44 - 12:23 Dundee (d) BUS 11:35 - 11:55 - 12:35 Aberdeen (a)13:15 - 13:35 - 14:15 Aberdeen BUS (d) 17:45 - 18:42 - 19:04 - 19:38 Dundee (a) 19:25 - 20:22 - 20:44 - 21:18 Dundee (d) TRAIN 19:35 - 20:32 - 20:54 - 21:28 Haymarket (a) 20:46 - 21:48 - 22:28 - 23:01 Edinburgh Waverley (a) 20:50 - 21:52 - 22:32 - 23:05 Aberdeen BUS (d) 20:03 Dundee (a) 21:43 Dundee (d) TRAIN 21:56 Stirling (a) 22:45 Stirling (d) 23:12 Haymarket (a) 00:03 Edinburgh Waverley (a)00:07 I have also checked the prices. I think that the cheap day return should be available which is 13 - oo pounds. Although i have done my best with the imformation at hand i do ask you to check this imformation on arrival at edinburgh and aberdeen or with the on train staff. I actually work for National Express East Coast(formally GNER) so this is reliable regarding the engineering work. I can only assume that there will be ample buses and consideration will be made to the fact that there is a football match taking place but please give youselves plenty of time. Also please be aware that both the trains and buses will be Dry (NO BEVY) Hope this helps. Ade

benny
They might be cheaper now because of the engineering works. No point in paying the full price if you have to change to a bus half way through your journey.A bus that will have to go to every stop on the rail route along the way. Direct bus going non stop to aberdeen. They always have a bus that goes direct these days and i would imagine that they will have extra buses on due to footy. Take nothing for granted with the buses.Scotrail lay them on but have nothing to do with the drivers.More than likely they will be all over the place. It is amazing how much it costs Scotrail in taxis due to buses breaking down or drivers just going home. Can only say that the dealings that we have had with the buses and whats supposed to happen. There should def be non stop buses from dundee to aberdeen esp with the footy being on. The drivers are told by the rail staff where to go.
jamtart22
just a note when getting on buses at Dundee make sure you do not smile or looking though you are enjoying your selfor you wont get on, or maybe the extremely tough Scotrail employees just do that to 15 year old kids like my son two weeks ago. adeb74
if you go on national rail enquiries you will c the cheap day return at 13 quid available from both glasgow queen street and edinburgh. Im positive that this fare is available all day at weekends it just gets complicated during the week with certain times unavailable for travel. The good thing with this ticket is you buy it on the day of travel un like the advanced one which is atleast a day in advance. C for yourself! http://www.nationalrail.co.uk
