Quagmire
it has everything. a brilliant concept. a brilliant narrative. some of the greatest songs ever. some of the greatest solos ever. the best film ev...ok maybe not... arguably the greatest live show ever. it's an album that has never been replecated in scale. and the image of "the wall" it's self...it's just genius. you may not like pink floyd, you may think roger waters is a bell end (and you'd probably be right:rolleyes:)...but to say the stone roses (they won that "best album ever" poll on here, didn't they?) are in the same league is just silly...(ducks)

vegas-voss
The Stone Roses pure perfection from beginning to end. The Wall for listening to when your a teenager gouched out your nut when you first get into hash especially a nice moroccan black. After that you soon move on. It also has Appalling singing. Self inulgent farty tedious noodling. A pompous 'concept'. A big pile of polystyrene bricks toppling over isn't that spectacular. So, in answer to your original question, yes. Loads!!!

Tazio
Poor old Quagmire, still struggling with the delusion that great musicianship means great music. Some of the greatest music ever was created by "adequate" musicians, and some of the worst by incredibly talented "players" For what it's worth I suppose it is a decent album, but one that hasn't moved me to listen to it for over 20 years. Craig_
Heh heh. FWIW I dont think The Wall's even their best album, but just IMO. Indeed, can think of about five of their albums that're better! Load of self-indulgent nonsense if you ask me...
Mr Romanov Saviour of HMFC
Sorry, what's the question? I just can't stop laughing at the fact a Hobo jumped out of a plane for a Jambo that didn't even exist! :4_1_72:

ToadKiller Dog
The Wall has some good parts and is still worth an airing every now and then ,clearly a product of a great band that was falling apart, while Waters was disappearing up his own backside .of the floyd albums i have its the one thats played the least. As for the Roses i doubt its one of the greatest albums of all time, but it would be one of my favorites more for sentimental teenage years memories.
