Drylaw Hearts
Once he becomes one of us, the support will be right behind him:cool: just like wee JC, who became a legend. What will happen if Elvis ever returns ? He would become 'one of us' again surely ?

Dirk Diggler
And here we go again With all the things we said And not a minute spent To think that we'd regret So we just take it back, These words and hold our breath Forget the things we swore we meant I'll write you just to let you know that I'm alright Can't say I'm sad to see you go Cause I'm not. (No, I'm not) Well, I'm not. And here we go again With all the things we did And now I'm wondering Just who would I have been To be the one attached At all times to your hip? Forget the things we swore we meant. I'll write you just to let you know that I'm alright Can't say I'm sad to see you go Cause I'm not. (No, I'm not) Well, I'm not. (No, I'm not) Oh (No, I'm not) I'll write you to, to let you know that I'm alright Can't say I'm sad to see you go Cause I'm not. (No, I'm not) Well, I'm not. (No, I'm not) I'm not, I'm not. And here we go again With all the things we said And not a minute spent To think that we'd regret So we just take it back... So we just take it back... (No, I'm not) So we just take it back... PresidentRomanov
Post #54. Is there I book I can buy that explains the way you think ? I hope he one day explains his actions publically. I also think the Hearts supporters are due him an apology for not backing him 100% at the time of the PC. He was right in what he said and it's taken 18 months to attempt to right the concerns he had.

I would like to have a friendly wager with you that he WILL return one day to Hearts in some capacity. Fancy it ?

Given the fact that he didn't say anything, I fail to see how that can be If he hadn't taken Mr Romanov's money to keep quiet, then we might've found out what the stupid rheptile was on about

He would have been better off sitting back, taking the money and getting a Testimonial. BTW, we all know exactly what he was on about. It just that some chose to ignore it or dismiss it. Drylaw Hearts
He took money to keep quiet, say's it all about his so called integrity No he didn't. He had a choice - Sign the clause or play in the Reserves for 8 months. Not an appealing prospect for a man of his age. At the end he just wanted out as he was sick of the way the Club was being run. Given everything that has gone on since, you can surely understand why ? Anyway....... How about that bet ?
Sherlock
Given the fact that he didn't say anything.... He told us that... 1) A number of players weren't happy with what was going on. 2) The managers position was almost incidental in association with the problems related to the football club. 3) The correct values and discipline was absent within the club. 4) The coaching staff and certain players lacked the full backing, direction and coherence of the manager and those running the football club. 5) The problems within the club had been ongoing for two years. and 6) Morale was not good and there was significant unrest in the dressing-room. Unfortunatly that isn't/wasn't enough for some. They wanted names, dates and addresses of all involved.

Drew Busby !
It'll be two years this autumn since he left. And I know that I was still very much and very blindly on the VR side of the fence at that time. That was then and this is now. Were he to come back then it would be as close to closure of that that wound as we'd ever be likely to achieve. McGhee would see the sense in it. And Elvis is big enough. Would VR be the sticking point ? Or would he also have enough sense - and even share in the credit - in what would be a piece of healing for the club... It wouldn't be a playing career move for Elvis ... more symbolic than football based, perhaps a coaching capacity... but he would restore a lot to this club thats been missing. McGhee will be well aware of that.
Charlie-Brown
Pressley's press conference was the second dumbest thing he ever did in my opinion, the dumbest thing he did at tynecastle - of course he would be welcome back though, doing the wrong thing twice shouldn't over-rule a lot of the good things he did over a number of years.
