Anyone any info or hunches on who this chap may be? I can't remember his name but was that not one of the problems he had when he joined Motherwell? He wanted to bring someone with him but Motherwell insisted on Scott Leitch. I assume it must be him.

Anyone any info or hunches on who this chap may be? I asked this in the main thread but never got any responses (I don't think). Who has he worked with before, Colin Lee? Who else? Ewen Murray has suggested it will be Leitch and also an English based coach. http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2008/may/23/hearts.scottishpremierleague?gusrc=rss&feed=football Edit - 'At least one England-based coach'. Drylaw Hearts
How about Colin Lee ? He was his assistant at Leicester City and Wolves and is now at Torquay Utd as DOF I think. Lee is the only Assistant McGhee as taken with him from one job to another.

Lee is the only Assistant McGhee as taken with him from one job to another. He worked with a coach called Bob Booker at Brighton.

I agree but for some strange reason his name popped into my head. I can see him getting emptied from chelsea now though.

Heaven98
Would Steve Clarke be a daft one to chuck in there ? Yes. If MM doesn't come - most unlikely - Clarke would be worth talking to as manager. He's a well thought-of coach and has a lot of respect in the game. He'll be looking for a Championship or more likely League One top position but we might appeal to him. He's on a lot more at Chelsea but wherever he goes, he'll take a wage drop and the money we're offering is not far off. It would be a tremendous appointment. He'd have loads to prove.
