david mcgee
Looking for two chipmunks. Does anyone know of any breeders in the area? It appears pet shops have stopped keeping them.

david mcgee
Seriously guys i am looking for a suitable pet for my 8 year old son. I have checked out just about everything on the internet and chipmunks looked a good option. We have plenty of room for them and an area where we can let them out to play. The problem with a lot of other rodents is that they dont have a long life span and i couldnt stand the heartache every couple of years. Chinchillas look nice but they are nocturnal and not reccommended for kids. Something which is fun, relatively easy to look after, has a decent life span , is moderately affectionate and does not smell. Any ideas?

chester copperpot
Crocodiles are pretty cool (and manly) Alligators are miles harder than Croc's, unless we're talking about Salt Water Croc's from the outback. Miles better than what I've said.

Ray Winstone
Hard to keep as pets though, old bean. Still not as manly. Manliest pet = a well bred Labrador, soft pallet for hunting so it doesnt leave teeth marks in the duck (Or whatever you like to hunt) well trained, walks to heel and never disobeys. wibble
Is it a bit poofy? The dog is a bit poofy. If chipmunks are so hard to get, why not look for a couple of acrobatic rats?

They don,t have a long lifespan mate, had a couple 10 year or so back and they only lasted 4 or 5 years. You could try Rintouls in Bathgate as they used to keep them.
