Statto Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Former Hearts "star", Linas Pilibaitis, a penalty in the 4th minute away to Atlantas. The match finished 1-1. A certain Pascal Mendy also started for Kaunas. (whooooo!) How's Kaunas' league position looking?

Legend Claws Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 I really couldn't give a monkey's chuff about Kaunus or any our ex 'players' that are now there.

chester copperpot Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 I wish we still had Kizys. I dunno if you're joking or not, but I liked Kizys when he was here.
Ryan Gosling Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 I dunno if you're joking or not, but I liked Kizys when he was here. I'm not kidding. Rumours say he may be in line for a big move from his Polish club.
West Jambo Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Pascal Mendy must be living a nightmare stuck over there all this time, after being told he was coming here!

Drylaw Hearts Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 I thought Kizys was a good wee player I only remember him having one good game - at Parkheid. IIRC, he was amongst the first to get emptied by Burley.
Drylaw Hearts Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 BTW, 'The Pillow' was awful. I recall a few 'connected' posters assuring us he was highly rated and was cover for Paul Hartley. Wrong Wrong Wrong.
Coco Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 BTW, 'The Pillow' was awful. I recall a few 'connected' posters assuring us he was highly rated and was cover for Paul Hartley. Wrong Wrong Wrong. Pilbaitis looked like one of the typical players we have had from Kaunas (reasonable skills but lightweight - the other type is no skill and a bit bigger). Did both he and Ivaskevicius play in the 'Zaliukas ruins cup celebration game' at Easter Road? Brellier was absolutely brilliant for us that day.

Midfield that day was Ivaskevicius, Pilibaitis, Brellier, Aguiar, Driver. Bruno was fantastic too. Still, how the **** did we win that?

Del1812 Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 I was impressed with him on his debut at Motherwell and didn't think he looked too bad against Aberdeen. But from there he went completely down hill and I was glad when he left. He, like a lot of players that have come over from Kaunas, had potential and skill but could never (or ever looked like) showing it on a consistent basis.
Winston Ingram Posted April 28, 2008 Posted April 28, 2008 Kizys played well in a 2-0 win at Celtic Park, to his credit. Miller and Burchill scored, from memory. Must have been about this time of year, 2005.
