Mr Nobody
As I live abroad, every year I organise to send my folks for a slap up meal in a nice restaraunt for their Christmas. I have lived overseas though for 10+ years so very out of touch with the best places to go. Looking for suggestions of some really nice places to send them, preferably in the City Centre or to the West of the City as they live in the Corstorphine area. I am spending AU$ and the exchange rate is very good just now so cost not really an issue. They like pretty much all types of food. Any suggestions? IAmNotAlone
The Witchery 100% 100% NOT this. Have you ever been to The Witchery? It way over rated. It had a 'good' Edinburgh reputation before the influx of great restaurants that appeared in the City over the last 10-15 years or so. As mentioned previously I would go for one of these: Number One (Balmoral) The Kitchin 21212 Wedgwood Ondine
Tazio
The Timberyard on Lady LAwson Street is worth a visit. Owned by Andrew Radford who used to have The Atrium. Very good food for the prices, all locally sourced produce. http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant_Review-g186525-d3418358-Reviews-Timberyard-Edinburgh_Scotland.html http://www.timberyard.co
