Felix Lighter Posted May 18, 2012 Share Posted May 18, 2012 In '98 I was serving in the mob posted at RAF Akrotiri, I missed pretty much all of that great season apart from a few weeks back home at xmas when we had a dip in form,guess who got the blame When we made it to the final I was terrified of turning up and jinxing the team so decided to give it a miss figuring I'd be able to watch it live on tv in sunny Cyprus.Not great but not to bad either really. The only problem was the FA Cup final was the same day,same time and BFBS TV decided to show that live with our final on straight after. Dilemma...watch the FA Cup final at one of the pubs/clubs in the hope that the result of our final wouldn't be revealed or barricade myself in my room with a do not disturb sign hung up and the tv switched off until the big game kicked off.
