trago13
Is anyone else thinking along the same lines as me. I don't have the loyalty points needed, can't afford to buy a season ticket and think ( quite rightly ) I'm not going to get a ticket. However over at wee team FC they will have a public sale of around 14000 seats. I just not sure that I could control myself!!!!

Actually that might not be a bad shout - only thing is that a ticket's bar code may only be for certain sections and the turnstile operator may not be able to give access on an invalid tocket code. Nonetheless worth a try, I'd also be slipping the opeartor a ?20 note as a sweetner if required.

I was in the away end (the former Gorgie Road end that is) at Tynie against Rangers, got dragged in by my mate who bought 2 tickets off a smelly in the street. Guest Prentice
From what I gather there will be no public sale. Existing s/t New s/t Membership holders then it's people who are registered on the database I think
Buster
If it did go to a public sale in the Hibs end do you not have to be on their data base to get a ticket, if you've bought tickets for the hearts end at Easter rd before then you would show up as having purchased an away ticket no? Rumbled right away would be my guess.

The number of times I've had to buy a home end ticket at Easter Road tells me this. They will say they could take 30-40K fans there so it won't happen - trouble is I suspect there will be more eager Jambos who know they cannot get a Hearts end ticket and they will sneak into ER to snap up briefs as they will be up against Hibby's who are further down the chain of "loyal fans" and therefore less likely to make a point in getting the ticket ASAP. Fair point Grant. I remember in the 80's you used to get loads of Jambos in the old bus shelter at ER (behind the goal) because, even back then they couldn't sell their tickets

trago13
not a hope there will be a public sale of 14000 just a rough guess going on normal sort of crowds / season tickets. Ok maybe should have been around 8000-10000 mark. Didn't know they would get 2 tickets for each season ticket holder. So that's about 12000 taken. Shod leave 8000 for loyalty points fans, that in turn should leave a good couple of thousand for a public sale. Hopefully ;-)

Maroon tinted glasses 2
I honestly dont think i could sit quiet for long enough or even for when the first Hearts song belted out so it would possibly be a waste of money for me however it may be a last resort as i moved daaaan saaaf a couple of years back and when i do return home my brother always gets me a ticket. For him this is a good thing as it now means he has more than enough points to get him to the final however i have three other options who i hope can help me out before i have have to resort to desperate measures. Existing s/t New s/t Membership holders then it's people who are registered on the database I think I heard something similar from Hibs fans at work today, which indicated there would be no direct sales to people. All requests have to be submitted on an application form by post, and Hibs will decide who gets tickets, presumably using their own databases. Denny Crane
Had a plush freebie in the 2006 semi. Problem was it was in their half of the main stand at Hampden. Pulled off an Oscar-winning performance for the first three goals. Due to them all having scarpered by then was I able to celebrate the fourth. Don't think I could endure it for this one though - that semi was wonderful for obvious reasons but quite weird as well given that I was surrounded by that lot. Buffalo Bill
I know of one Hearts fan who is definitely sitting in the Hibs end, and he reckons there will be hundreds of infiltrators in the East Stand. Radioactive Mince
I've just had a thought... When's their next home game? Would be ******* amusing if they got an abnormally large amount of tickets sold, but didn't get any larger a crowd than usual, if anyone's following me? Get any use of that usb stick John? Another fecking hilarious thing to happen would be if said ghost supporters all managed to get final tickets and organised their seating in such a manner that they had safety in numbers. Funniest of all would be Hearts supporters who have managed to infiltrate their database buying tickets for the final, with no intention of actually going in their end at all. Would piss them off something awfy. Or, Hearts supporters in scenario above flogging tickets on the exchanges, AT A PROFIT ps - For those who say that you could be rumbled for buying Dunbar End tickets through HIVs... I don't remember EVER being asked for I.D. when buying tickets for any football game on UK mainland, ya dig?

EdinburghLivi
Obviously not the same but I sat in the Hibs end for a friendly at Almondvale earlier in the season, with my Hibs supporting bird. I was quite used to no segregation and fans just having a laugh with each other, after two seasons in the seaside leagues. Admittedly, I went over the top (out my seat) for a beaut of a goal from about 25 yards but within seconds 2 Hobos sitting around me reported me to the stewards and demanded I was moved. This was particularly stupid given I'd been praising Hibs to my girlfriend for the whole game. On reflection, I should have expected something like that but that doesn't change my opinion that Hibs fans are pretty much killjoy arseholes. This was a friendly, for ****s sake. dav1e
Think there will be a few Jambos who will be watching the final from the wrong seats. Been in the Hibs end a couple of times, if you can stay calm when Hearts score then you shouldn't have any problems. If not then expect a few slaps and to be covered in spit while you're being escorted out by the police. On the positive side you will be able to get some good footage of the Hearts end celebrating which you can share on kickback for amusement.
