The Rev
Anybody got any idea how the SFA decide which sets of supporters get what end at Hampden when the old firm are not involved? I can't help but think they base it on the percieved 'bigot league table', although I really hope I'm wrong. Apologies in advance if this has been mentioned elsewhere. yabadabadoo1874again
Good question. Prefer East terracing myself as I grew up a stones throw from it. I think you may hit a raw nerve with this.
Sheiky Baby
We get the huns end just like we did in 2006 for the semi. I think they do base this on us being 'mini huns' as well...
Jamdub
no idea but I suspect your correct, we always get Der hun end as long as not playing the hun Just think, in future years to come it will be the Hearts End. Newco or not, whatever they try and dress it up as, der hun are going to the wall....Scottish football is going to get better...........

SpikeDudley
I've been to Hampden 5 times. My record in the "Rangers End": - Hearts (W)4-0 Hibs - Hearts (W)1-1 Gretna - Hearts (W)2-1 Celtic My record in the "Celtic End" - Hearts (L)1-5 Rangers - Hearts (L)0-2 Rangers Not really complaining that we're in the West Stand again for the final! Bigot League Table? Fine by me!

H2
The answer is that the selection of the ends at Hampden are strictly primarily to suit the Old firm, after all it is their home city, and they need every advantage they can get. The next bit seems that as long as we are not playing Rangers, we get that end, and as long as Hibs are not playing Celtic, they get that end. I think Aberdeen are next in line for the West and Dundee Utd the east. All very..... unwritten.
Fermit the Krog
Never seen Hearts win from the east side of the stadium. The west on the other hand
Boris
Assuming Der Hun exist, should they play their OF compadres at Hampden the SFA (or whoever) should swap the ends around. Why shouldn't they?
