Would say they are not low sales all things considered.

Poor game from Scotland. Only looked on top at the start of each half but far too many errors/penalties and didn't threaten as much as you'd expect them to. Graham had a game he'll want to forget with being sent off, even though he was unlucky with the second yellow card, which wouldn't have been a card if it it hadn't been on his own line and stopping a try. He never had any opportunity, or much ball at all, to add to his try tally either. Was always going to be difficult with missing all the Lions players against an almost full strength Fiji side playing in a big match for them at home. To be honest, Fiji could and probably should have scored more tries as they coughed up the ball several times with a try begging.

πππ Take a bow folks Hearts patter is the best patter when we're not all whining and moaning. Great manager, Great players, Great fans. We even have the best pretend Hearts fans on here Hope everyone makes Lennon feel welcome today. Was hoping we'd draw his teams in Europe but this'll do nicely π±π»π±π»π±π» The sheep chant aimed at him a few years ago was great but we can do better today FNL -
Well done Townsend and Scotland on a disastrous result that should ensure another hard group in world cup. Special thanks to the genius who arranged away game to Fiji during a Lions tour, meaning weakened squad, whereas last year we had tour to South America with a full squad. Ireland play Georgia and Portugal when they're are at reduced strength but not Scotland. Sometimes we are own worst enemies. Graham sent off as well.

Spot on. My degree has opened plenty doors for me, but not as many as if it were one which had genuine links to anything other than academia. -

I was born without a pot to piss in but have to agree there is something to taking personal responsibility and getting stuck in. Admittedly, much of can be down to good luck, eg. right place right time, fortunate break, etc, but you at least need to try and put yourself in a position to take advantage of good fortune. Came from a household that went through periods like that (Thatcher's Britain, eh) and been there a couple of times myself, but I'm not sure that the tried-and-tested tactic of facing up to your poor life-choices/bad decisions and knuckling down to do something about it is as easy nowadays as it once was, even 15/20 years ago (and it wasn't easy then). You need to go in to Uni with a semi-clear idea of what you want to do, but at 18 years old I'm not sure that many do. The result is a load of people with expensive degrees that they've no idea what to do with (technical/vocational degrees notwithstanding). Go and get 10 years of life experience first and then consider University. Scotland is fantastic for this. The increased tax take over the working life of someone who attends Uni in their 30s makes the initial investment in their education a no-brainer. It's not all shite, though, and dismissing it as such is part of the problem. -

Yep the government of the day were of the opinion that longer drinking hours would affect the war effort. They didn't want workers drunk and unable to do their jobs. Beer was also watered down so it was weaker. All part of the Defence if the Realm Act. -

All I'm getting from that wording is that there's a fair chance I'll be okay to take water balloons with me to throw at the flumps next derby. -

Brilliant weather for it and the managers first game quite surprised at such low sales would be good to try get the wheat field fully open

Maybe they could get in the wee boats that wash up on the south east coast and do the return leg over to France as the first part of a journey to take them to Gaza, Yemen or Iran?

Just managed to buy two tickets in the Wheatfield stand, yass, delighted, cautiously optimistic about season ahead but have not felt this good before a pre season game for a very long time. -

Buzzing for this today - lots of excitement to be had going into this season. Not expecting a polished performance here, expect it to be blood and thunder with quite a bit of stuff not really coming off. Itβs to be expected. We should have more than enough to put this lot away though. Braga and Wilson to score in a 3-0 win. -
