Inverness must be the first time a team in the relegation slot finishes with a positive goal difference, how is that possible?

Summer 24 Transfers - Vargas signs 5 year deal ( updated )

This is how I'd evaluate Forrest too. There's a reason why he's been favoured to Oda for much of the season. Primarily as he can take instructions. I'm not knocking Oda but there's a reason why his game time and that of Tagawa has been limited. Forrest was instrumental in that run of 28 points from 30 which basically secured third place. Managers like guys like Forrest. -

No chance. He's far too light weight and fresh to lead the line for a whole season. Vargas will contribute but no way should he be replacing Shankland. He won't anyway, Naismith will know that and to sell Shankland and not add to the squad up front would almost be sabotage. Oda and Vargas will contribute but they aren't consistent/ good/ mature/ Street wise enough to be main strikers for us- yet. -

If Shanks leaves, we might want to give Vargas a shot at leading the line…. we would be doing well to buy better, and it would give us a chance to play with more pace throughout the team -

I hope the club are looking at an extension for Oda. Only 2 years left of his deal, and our continual problem seems to be losing players because we're too late to the races at offering that extension. As you say, he does have something. His impact from the bench is huge, and he has shown spatterings of a very good player. I think he's close to making that sort of breakthrough. Similar issue with Devlin, Naismith has worked on changing the type of player he is, and that work is delivering but he's out of contract at the end of the 2025 season. Need to look at an extension sooner rather than later. -

I like Fred McAuley’s story about one time at McDiarmid there was a bad foul / decision and the bloke behind him jumped up, outraged, pointed to the perp and shouted ‘’f******…. f******…… f****** ….. BOO!’ -

A really good episode of Scotland Speaks. Personally, really enjoy listening to Robin talking about political strategy re Independence. He speaks a lot of sense and does so in a really down to earth and easy to understand manner. Would recommend watching for the duration he's on (2:00 to c31:30). Suggests that the SNP are on road to political ruin if they cannot shake this internal party machinery/careerist agenda which is at odds with the wider membership. Just how much of a sham election Humza's leadership was to begin with - already had flyers and a campaign ready to go when Sturgeon resigned, virtually the entire payroll behind him (which is ****ing weird, group think dangerous). Was initially unsure of what to think with Swinney, but some very valid points raised - he is a very divisive choice, not really a leader with a vision. Reeks of administrator type, and the SNP urgently needed fresh ideas, fresh faces and a fresh agenda. The despiration from this careerist cabal at the heart of the SNP to refuse to give ground to Alba certainly ponders thought. If in 2026 Alba can replace the greens as the alternative Independence party to such an extent as to hold the balance of power, then we might actually get those 3 years of quality governance that Robin talks about to help put us firmly on the path to Independence. Interesting part though about the political route having neared its end. Alba had a member that left recently that has formed a group essentially geared at trying to reach out into Schemes to promote Independence - believe the general view is that this is a large and untapped voter base which could hold huge potential, especially as the blue and red tories continue to punch down. From what he's said, if a YES Scotland non-party group without being puppeteered by the SNP could be formed there could be great success in delivering that breakthrough consistent polling.

If I had the money the BK's had and I was adamant I wanted a pyramid, I would be invested in absolutely everything. I'd have it structured and in order. I'd be having my own chief executives hired on the pyramid with the intention of rising. The same with Dof, Coaches, Recruitment teams. But no, he's strategically picking teams in trouble with who he has no connection and is only interested in player trading and development with Bournemouth in mind. He couldn't give a **** what the results are, who the executives are, who the managers are, so long as players are being played, developed and cherry picked. This whole review is the appease the mob. Kensell, Monty and McDermott still there calling the shots. Foley lending his expertise to the review. Awaaaaay, he couldn't give a toss. It's going to be some laugh when Bournemouth are toiling. -

I think Oda has something as well, but he needs to push on and become a trusted first 11 pick. Not sure on the Vargas comparison, he’s played out of position on the right wing. Much better centrally -

An early red card against us followed by a dubious match-deciding refereeing decision will ensure a Tic victory, sadly. But a Killie defeat tomorrow and Ross County win today will soften the blow, so I’m not getting too despondent. -

Not a chance that McInnes will go anywhere near that rancid entity. Don’t forget, he was astute enough to knock back the Zombies when they were a basket case. -

I'm a big fan of Oda tbh, most times I have seen him he contributes and looks dangerous, has good numbers too, there's an argument that he might even be as good as Vargas if not better, hasn't really had the same amount of game time, so quite hard to judge tbf. -

Who will be replaced by another zoomer, that club is rotten to the core from the top down, and until there is a complete rebuild ( not talking about the playing staff ) nothing will change. For years it’s been excuse after excuse blaming mostly Hearts and referees, long may it continue… My only fear would be if they appointed Derek McInnes, he would if given time (he wouldn’t) might get them on an even keel
