You post this a lot, wouldn’t it be more realistic to post ‘I agree’? Better grammatically as well.

I take a different view and disagree with your analysis. We have a dangerous rogue state on our doorstep. We tried the option of not getting involved when Putin annexed Crimea. All that achieved was to give him confidence to step up his plan and go after the rest of Ukraine. The world has learned what happens if you appease dictators. Eventually WW3 would happen and may still. He would go for the Baltic states next then Scandinavia after Ukraine. The issue is not the UK's contribution but other countries in Europe not paying their fair share for global security.

I tell whoever I like, and I've never encountered any issues. Could be the accent, though. And smaller places can be a bit weird alright.

Ah Jaysus, @Auld Reekin', don't blow me bleedin' cover. There was also a fella who has posted on here a bit who is based Galway (also the Boys in Maroon), but I don't know if he's still around, called @Jambo na hÉireann. With a name like that I'd be surprised if he was any other nationality, déanta na fírinne.

Hearts Women - Scottish Cup Final - Rangers 2 Hearts 0

The FAI Women's Cup Final has been played at Tallaght Stadium (Shamrock Rovers' ground) for the last 3-4 years. It typically draws a crowd of around 4,000 or so, but because Tallaght has a capacity of 8,000 there's usually a decent atmosphere. By comparison, today's attendance at Hampden was about 4,500, and I think the League Cup final drew a similar crowd. I think if you played the Scottish Cup final in a smaller venue you would get a better atmosphere, and I'm not sure the players would be that worried about the location. I'm off to see Ireland's women play Sweden next weekend at the Aviva. I reckon it'll draw about 30,000, so the atmosphere will be alright (capacity nearly 52,000). Tallaght would have a much better atmosphere - but I probably wouldn't get a ticket.

I worked in Ireland for 2 years and absolutely loved it but I learned not to tell people I was Hearts. in Dublin it’s cool but smaller places they’re not keen on us. The Edinburgh rangers I got a few times.

The St Pats fans were very welcoming back in 1988 despite the interference from a small group of celtic fans who tried to be disruptive for our Euro' tie.

Thanks. Doesn't look or sound like it would possible with the type of finance we'll have available. Would probably take some serious luck with multiple other parties willing to help or the type of funds we'll never have access to.

Probably something on the Wheatfield side but we’d also have to work with North British Distillery to relocate their ethanol tanks due to health and safety concerns.

It's not pessimism. 27000 Hearts fans is still just under 10000 more attending week on week and I don't think that is out there....at least not in my lifetime. The club is better and growing for sure but we're talking about creating a lot of brand new fans...maybe even new football fans. Success will drive that yes....plenty plastic fans down south prove this but I don't see where we get them. Most clubs fans stem directly from parents. My dad was a Jambo. My sons are Jambos. Hopefully so forth. It almost gives a finite amount of fans following their mum or dads team. A significant switch away from this and more people following their local team seems incredibly unlikely.

    More Tory lies

I want to start by saying there is no excuse for the invasion of Ukraine by Russia. War in my opinion is senseless and benefits the few at the expense of the many. There is so much needless death in the world, we spend far too much time, effort and money coming up with the best way to blow each other to pieces. With that said, we hung Ukraine out to dry after the Budapest Memorandum. Ukraine at the time had 15% of the old soviet nuclear stock. Of course, most of the codes were still in Russia but given time they would have figured that out. To put that into prospective, they had potentially a larger nuclear arsenal than the UK and France combined. In hindsight, Ukraine trusting the west has ultimately been their downfall. Russia made it clear their stance on NATO expansion in 1994 when the west were forced to back down in Bucharest when Ukraine’s bid for membership was rejected. We didn’t listen, we pressed ahead and let Eastern European countries flirt with us for decades. Would we let a foreign nation potentially expand their capabilities towards London? Of course we wouldn’t. Are we the good guys? I don’t think the majority of people of Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Yemen, Palestine, Russia and probably a 5th of Africa would agree. We don’t give two flying ****s how many people die in Ukraine. We care about weakening Russia, Russia wouldn’t happen to have a shit ton of natural resources would it? It would suit us for the people of Russia to turn on their own government and become more open to business with the west would it? Who really dictates our foreign policy? The likes of Sunak and Truss? I somehow do not think so. History tells us the truth is normally somewhere in the middle. It also tells us that the end result of this war, like so many before, will be a lot of dead poor folk and a lot of richer rich folk. Of course counties that feel vulnerable want to join NATO, it does not mean that it’s in the best interest of peace and unity in the world to be seen to be considering these countries for membership. It’s essentially poking an old wounded bear that only knows one way to react. It would be utterly moronic if it wasn’t all on purpose.

They should get one of these to go with it for a ceremonial bash each time a goal is scored. It would let folks in the lochend area keep up with what's happening at Tynie.
