    Happy 19th May fellow Jambos

I had forgotten the relevance until I saw this. Glorious indeed.

    End of season celebrations

A few seasons ago ( mainly the Levein tenure) I was feeling totally distanced more and more from the club, that has been totally changed around. We as supporters ( and I hate this expression) have our club back, not for a long time do I feel the players, management/ directors, supporters are all pulling in the same direction, sure there will be tough times and defeats but I do feel we can now cope with it better IMO.

Summer 24 Transfers - Beni signs 2 year deal

Heres hoping. Suppose it depends on who else is sniffing round him.

It was covered in the anti Hearts ("Bosnian pensioners") BBC documentary that went to his house and interviewed his wife.

    End of season celebrations

In front of The Gorgie? A huge cheer went up when the wee one 'scored'. Did you see Craig chipping a ball and his wee one saving it? A future 'keeper. 😄

Summer 24 Transfers - Beni signs 2 year deal

I would not put Dexter anywhere near a defensive position. He just does not have the awareness or positional sense ( look at Rangers 3rd goal, he didn't have a clue ). As a winger yes I believe that's where his pace ect would suit him best, of course all just my opinion.

    Scottish rugby

Despite his broken nose, the French media are saying Blair Kinghorn will be fit for the Champions Cup final next Sunday (live on ITV 2.45pm). For the much needed takedown of the super arrogant Irish, before they have to have more New Zealanders in side.

    Forgotten Players

Well at least most of our unmemorable players cost peanuts - the Old Firm have paid literally millions for players who have made no impact whatsoever... It is far more galling to spend money on a player who fails than just to squander a wage for a few months. I always had sympathy for DUFC when they were made to pay about £300k to Rangers for Charlie Telfer to who had done zip at Ibrox and turned out to be lower end of the championship level...

Summer 24 Transfers - Beni signs 2 year deal

Would be a wise move. He’s a good player but would be sensible to cash in if the opportunity came up.

Won’t just come down to what McInnes wants though. Armstrong himself will want a move to a bigger club, and it’s hard for teams to stand in a player’s way nowadays especially if they can’t offer bigger wages. Still don’t think he’d cost that much. Killie aren’t in a position to be holding out for ridiculous figures, especially with only a year left on his contract.
  15. Craig Gordon's son standing on his own clapping the crowd is possibly one of the best things I have ever seen. I don't think the club, management players and fans have ever been so together.

    The new Rebus

Shite script and some piss poor acting, probably enhanced by the bad writing. Brian Ferguson didn't seem to have any craft at all.

SN likes his versatilty in midfield, but yeah, signing Penrice may be a clue.

    U.S. Politics megathread (merged)

Yes, I get that. And the onus is on the prosecutors to show that the financial item "Legal expenses" includes Stormy's pay-off... and also that by doing so, it then constitutes electoral interference. Despite our disdain for Trump's version of truth & his corrupt business practices in general, its quite a high bar for the prosecution to reach considering they're pretty much reliant on his former dodgy/corrupt execs testimony. Glenn Kirschner explained very clearly how prosecutors can request a "re-direct" from the judge, where they can use careful questioning of their own witness to clear up (clean up) possible false impressions given in cross-exam, and re-deliver the key questions which they believe the witness's honest answers will clarify. I think the jury has 2 lawyers on it (or folk who work for legal firms) - not sure if that helps or hinders the prosecution's case.

    Pyramid Leagues Superthread

So only change in Lowland League would seem to be Broxburn (tbc) replacing Edinburgh University. Though people were saying a couple of weeks ago Gretna were confirmed for next season.

    Forgotten Players

I seem to remember Romanov 'showing off' his paper database of potential signings on some sort of 'feel-good' announcement to us supporters ... possibly in the early days when going for Champion's League success was his aim ... or am I mistaken? I'm approaching senior status, so my memory might be a tad faulty. 😄

Marvelous day from start to finish. Your vermin haven’t and never will get over it despite what they say. PLEASING 🙂

    Trouble in the stands

Any time I've been in Gorgie hospitality in particular, there's definitely written warning in the accompanying emails etc, but Scott Wilson also does a verbal warning around it too, albeit in very friendly and sensible terms. Unfortunately, some people are beyond that and think that they have the right to behave as they like. There's a point, which has been reached I think, where some sort of action needs to be taken. 'Prevention's better than a cure' and all that.

    Philippe Clement

Eh, I'm not a fan but I don't think he's any worse than pretty much anyone who manages Celtic or Rangers, and certainly seems less of a dck than Rodgers. Weird that he was focussing on shots on goal yesterday and not xG as I thought that was his preferred measure - oh, right, because the JTs had a (slightly) higher xG than his lot.

    Forgotten Players

Think big Gilles recommended him. Seen above that his brother played Motherwell. He was a decent player.
