    Scottish independence and devolution superthread

I take it you typed "committed" but your pesky autocorrect changed it to "rabid". Same kind of stuff happens to me all the time. If I were a committed nationalist, I'd be concerned that people tend to change their minds and become more conservative about the Union as they get older, and they tend to vote in bigger numbers.

Not quite 😂. They were sanctioned and Morton awarded a 3-0 win because they played ineligible Rocky but if they hadn’t been deducted those points they’d have failed to qualify anyway.

    Summer 24 Transfers - Vargas signs 5 year deal ( updated )

Need to stop bringing up players that are having a good 6 game streak. What are they like at worst? If they're still pulling Michael Smith level performances on a bad day, great but I'll guarantee you suggesting your Findlays and Simon thirty-****ing-two Murrays are not fit for the level we're wanting to get to.

Nothing, unless we want to give her a golden handshake as a thank you for her efforts! We have an agreement in place to pay off her loan, final instalment is due in October. Even if she decided to leave before then, the loan agreement would still remain in place.

How will Hibs spin this one.

Hibs have got a huge problem with fan behaviour these days. A Hibs ‘mate’ of mine has said their CEO has prioritised their ultras group over their general fans. Their ultras group have been the ones causing most of the trouble.

    Steven Naismith Appreciation Thread

I've said it before, I'll say it again. The watch word with Naismith is 'composure' - he was pleading for it last season, and he's been seeing it this season - we need to expect it 24/7 next seasons. I think the game against (a decent) Dundee when we came from behind was the best example of Naismith's management and emphasis on composure. We never lost our heads, we kept our shape and left Tayside with three points. That, for me, was a game that showed progress. Mental progress.

the morton game was a 1-1 draw but ended up being awarded 3-0 to morton because of the ineligible player, they also lost 1-0 to falkirk

    Huge congratulations

Not a massive upgrade on what we have IMO. I’m honestly expecting 2-3 splash out signings. More hoping that actual expectation They've said they are spending this year, so let’s see the money where the mouth is.

    Naismith UEFA Licence

I don’t think anyone doubts that Naismith was boss man last time. The club had to run a fine line between outright saying it so not to be fined but everyone who is sensible knew fine well who was boss.

No, it's not despite what others have said. Last time around we made c £5m from a combination of participation prize money, money for points gained, a share of the media money and 4 home games attendance money. You also have to offset this against the costs of staging home games, of travel, of playing away games, appearance money for players etc. McKinlay said we made around £3.5m profit last time around, but that was after a chunk of one-off spend to bring the stadium up to UEFA standards, and he also netted-off the cost of increasing the squad to cope with the extra demands of playing in Europe.
