yep I get the point I’m just surprised the sums involved are not even higher - plenty ‘normal’ people (albeit higher earners) probably spend that to send a child to a non-elite private school or if a couple of daughters pony trekking lessons could easily be over 5k pa and that would just be for basic stuff rather than training to attempt to achieve a serious competitive level Still a few quid to find whatever you’re spending it on

Ask yourself, was it his colour, race or religion? Seriously?

some fans have short memories yes,but if a player does not piss fans off by being a huffy disrespectful hoor, they can be remembered for ever ie Willie Bauld, Dave MacKay,Jonny Cummings,Donald Ford ,Drew Busby ,and even hun ones like Alex McDonald ,Sandy Jardine

Scottish independence and devolution superthread

I gave an answer, maybe not the one he or you were hoping for but he got an answer. Now, to expand, is the Murrell guy a chancer? Yes. yes he likely is, however, my near non existent knowledge of the legal aid process makes me think there must be qualifying criteria? Therefore, if he meets this criteria I'm not going to get bent out of shape about it, the question should be, is he at it? Neither you or I know the answer to this, and therefore I'm not getting into a bun fight about it. Apparently in your mind this means that I support him and am being a typical Nationalist whatever that is, but , I would counter that by suggesting by your tone that you're being a Unionist rager, in the mould of wee Dougie Ross and can't wrap your head around the Murrell's, particularly him, no longer being relevant -
The all new "yay" thread! (aka the anti-seethe thread)

Oxgangs, bottom half though not the top.

it was actually confirmed by Sked and Craig on their pod yesterday that Borch only missed training as he had reached his maximum workload and they needed to rest him

Some have really painted themselves into a corner

Aye, but that wanton destruction of civilian infrastructure in Gaza might just be biased reporting, Thor. I'm sure that it'll be independently verified whether true or false in the fullness of time. At least we know the painting on the planes definitely happened.

It all seems a bit weird. A lot of legal commentators agreed from the start that the racketeering charge was an overreach and unlikely to be successful. There's speculation that he's done a lot more nasty shit but there's nothing that would stand in court so they went for the organised crime charge but the DoJ obviously can't say as much.

I disagree to a point. Hibs and aberdeen have been well funded too. Aberdeen just announced another 8 million from cormack. Thats 25million hes given them since 2019. Both clubs also done better than us in selling players. This means we didn't really get an advantage with andersons money that's not to say she didn't make mistakes with levien cathro etc.

Belter eh.

Except he wasn't injured. If you listen to the words from his own mouth then it's to do with workout loading after he rushed back from his last injury. Building him slower than others to get his strength up to avoid any relapses He wasn't the only one who missed sessions either for the same reason

Yep... in my pants!

I wanted us to remove our offer but won't lie and say that I'm disappointed he's signed. I hope he finds his form again and am more confident he will under McInnes.
-
During the trial he took ownership of his violence towards women and others multiple times. It probably seemed a good idea at the time but it's on the record now. It was taken into account when considering his bail request, and likely will be for sentencing.
-
Last season was a disaster top to bottom. Hearts sticking with Shankland even after a long search tells me McInnes thinks Shankland is closer to what he was his first two seasons than last. I think this is a risky return but if his contract is not ridiculously out of alignment with the rest of our wage structure, then I understand Hearts betting on his upside And if you mean he was a 10 like when Critchley played him there in the Diamond, that was a disaster for everyone. Playing Shanks as a 10 with Elton and WIlson looking like wingers was awful. I'm doing my best to ignore that stretch of Hearts football ever happened

Heart of Midlothian 2025 summer transfer thread - Stuart Findlay signs on loan
Smithian replied to hereford_hearts's topic in The Terrace
This is a season of consolidating third, not taking swings on unproven talent. I'd be a bit confused if 12 months from no, assuming a successful season, the profile of our signings didn't include a few chances on young talent. -
Christ how long do you think his arms are?
-
Never said I did. But I know what he did first two seasons. I know what he did last season. I really hope that he comes back ‘fitter stronger better’ and put himself back on top where he belongs. Once I’ve seen what I need to see then I’ll decide then. Cheers. 👍

Putting personal opinion to one side for a minute We are stronger with him, than without him Anyone who says otherwise needs their head read Del went all out to get him to re-sign Again, there is a completely valid reason for him doing this It was too long coming, yes, but hopefully that's it done and dusted now, and everyone can get away from this thread

Ok. That’s your point of view and as you said it’s a hearts forum. In my opinion football supporters are like sitting on a sea-saw. Not everybody weighs the same but sometimes you do. So you’re either going to be up, down or in the middle. I’m a passionate hearts fan. I won’t lie about that. That’s my downfall. Always have been. If a player isn’t playing to the best and let themselves go. Then yeh I will sway one way and shout it loud. If they don’t sign a contract and **** us around for 18 months then I’m swayed more and shout louder. But… If they play well and do the job they are paid for then I’ll sway back the other way. That’s being a football fan regardless of team or player. I’m of the older generation where we got to vent our anger standing up in the shed at the game with no come backs. That for me was football. I don’t hold back. So I’ve no cares about it. So if you would like to salute “all two of me” what ever that means then go ahead. 🫡🫡 But I live by the see-saw theory in everything. You should try it sometime. Life isn’t always sitting on the sea-saw by yourself.
