The fact that Toby has come in before Atkinson lately suggest Atkinson is not quoted and could be moved on. I personally think he is not of the required standard either as a RB or RWB. Toby may wish to look for a club where he is more of a starter so we could be looking at two on that side. Other teams have targeted that side of our defence for over two seasons now and it really is time we sorted that position out. Dexter is clearly not a defender and I am not sure why he was brought in as he offers little more than Natty. Not sure that Denholm has a long term future at Hearts whereas Tait looks potentially more likely.

I would loan out Tait before I would loan out Denholm and that’s actually because I rate Tait higher. Tait needs regular games in order to develop. Denholm is two years older and won’t reach the same heights so having him as a fifth choice centre mid whilst also being a proper Jambo makes it a situation that suits everyone imo

I think Kingsley was a CH in Neilson's system but not in Naisy's. He's an outstanding sub there but he's best at LB. Was just re-reading about Penrice in the Standard. He sounds like a LWB more than a LB. Outstanding with a cross but still needs a lot of work defensively. I've said before I think Robbie had been promised Pato (and I think Pato had agreed to terms until the manager changed, IIRC) and subconsciously chucked it after he didn't arrive. We were in dire need of some kind of defensive help and all we got was Hill, who wasn't terrible but wasn't enough.

I'd say the songwriting of both Cohen and Simon comes from a very similar poetic songwriting mindset or tradition. For my money they are two of the 20th century's finest poets in the English language, and I can read their songs as readily as listen to them. If you haven't already explored them, give them both a good listen.

Just seen the documentary. Some of it is sensationalised and not much worse than you'd expect when a large group gather, but the folk rushing the gates, attacking stewards, "jibbing" in were clearly opportunistic scumbags. Lucky no one was seriously hurt. Read a story separate from the doc about a dad who was taking his disabled kid to the game and he was physically pushed away from their wheelchair while some dick basically kidnapped his kid to try and get in posing as their carer. Disgusting stuff.

He has been one of my favourite Hearts players in recent years. A player we could rely on to show up in any big game. That kind of player is worth their weight in gold. It's been sad to see injuries take their toll and keep him out the team. As hard as it is to say, it is definitely the right time for a parting of the ways. He just couldn't physically cut it anymore. Hopefully he will get the reception he deserves tomorrow. Thank you for everything Pete. You've done a sterling job for Hearts and you will be missed.
