But did he say "part and parcel of the game"? Or did he say "as I said" before saying something he hadn't previously said?

Jings, you must have been incredibly drunk when you wrote this! I liked Brellier, but he was several country miles away from being one of the best footballers to play for the club while he was at the club, never mind ever! And the shocker of a tackle was from Brellier on Bruno Aguiar, putting Bruno (who was a far superior and very different sort of player) out for ages.

The mini series "V" from the mid '80's springs to mind. Aliens with fake human skin but reptilian green under it. -
You post this a lot, wouldn’t it be more realistic to post ‘I agree’? Better grammatically as well.

Please, please, one of the Scott's - Brown, Gemmill or Parker -
I take a different view and disagree with your analysis. We have a dangerous rogue state on our doorstep. We tried the option of not getting involved when Putin annexed Crimea. All that achieved was to give him confidence to step up his plan and go after the rest of Ukraine. The world has learned what happens if you appease dictators. Eventually WW3 would happen and may still. He would go for the Baltic states next then Scandinavia after Ukraine. The issue is not the UK's contribution but other countries in Europe not paying their fair share for global security.

I know Athlone well. For a few reasons.

It never got out of hand but you knew that Hearts were held in the same regard Of all the places I worked Athlone holds memories… For a few reasons🤪

Is the correct answer!

I tell whoever I like, and I've never encountered any issues. Could be the accent, though. And smaller places can be a bit weird alright.

Ah Jaysus, @Auld Reekin', don't blow me bleedin' cover. There was also a fella who has posted on here a bit who is based Galway (also the Boys in Maroon), but I don't know if he's still around, called @Jambo na hÉireann. With a name like that I'd be surprised if he was any other nationality, déanta na fírinne.

Hearts Women - Scottish Cup Final - Rangers 2 Hearts 0
Ulysses replied to 3fingersreid's topic in The Terrace
The FAI Women's Cup Final has been played at Tallaght Stadium (Shamrock Rovers' ground) for the last 3-4 years. It typically draws a crowd of around 4,000 or so, but because Tallaght has a capacity of 8,000 there's usually a decent atmosphere. By comparison, today's attendance at Hampden was about 4,500, and I think the League Cup final drew a similar crowd. I think if you played the Scottish Cup final in a smaller venue you would get a better atmosphere, and I'm not sure the players would be that worried about the location. I'm off to see Ireland's women play Sweden next weekend at the Aviva. I reckon it'll draw about 30,000, so the atmosphere will be alright (capacity nearly 52,000). Tallaght would have a much better atmosphere - but I probably wouldn't get a ticket. -
I worked in Ireland for 2 years and absolutely loved it but I learned not to tell people I was Hearts. in Dublin it’s cool but smaller places they’re not keen on us. The Edinburgh rangers I got a few times.

The St Pats fans were very welcoming back in 1988 despite the interference from a small group of celtic fans who tried to be disruptive for our Euro' tie.
-
Hate is a strong word, I absolutely loathe, despise and detest celtic for a number of reasons.
-
Thanks. Doesn't look or sound like it would possible with the type of finance we'll have available. Would probably take some serious luck with multiple other parties willing to help or the type of funds we'll never have access to.

How much are we charging for the front row seats alongside the Gorgie stand?
-
Probably something on the Wheatfield side but we’d also have to work with North British Distillery to relocate their ethanol tanks due to health and safety concerns.

It's not pessimism. 27000 Hearts fans is still just under 10000 more attending week on week and I don't think that is out there....at least not in my lifetime. The club is better and growing for sure but we're talking about creating a lot of brand new fans...maybe even new football fans. Success will drive that yes....plenty plastic fans down south prove this but I don't see where we get them. Most clubs fans stem directly from parents. My dad was a Jambo. My sons are Jambos. Hopefully so forth. It almost gives a finite amount of fans following their mum or dads team. A significant switch away from this and more people following their local team seems incredibly unlikely.
