At a push Findlay and McCart can play left back albeit they are more natural centrally. Not my favourite formation but i can see Derek going with a back 3 this season too not all the time just in certain games,which means we should be more secure at back, though i really don't like us playing a back 3 but it might be different under Derek so I'll give it a chance if he does try it 👍. We may even get in another cracking Left-Back and a centre half if Halkett and Kingsley can be moved on.

Alan Forrest strikes me as the type who will be here forever. Every time folk talk about getting rid he comes off the bench to change a game or score a goal. He won't raise his game enough to be a regular starter, but he will raise it in line with the quality of the squad. We could make the Champions League knock-out stages and he'd still getting subbed on in the second half and chipping in with the odd goal or assist.

Can't see Kingsley or Halketts deals getting renewed unless they have a injury free season - Even then I think we are heading in a different direction recruitment wise. likewise, we won't force good players under contract out the door. Kingsley especially now might get game time.

Good signing for them. Saw him a few times at Wigan and was a really tidy player who chips in with goals. Would have loved for us to have got him when he was at Wigan when he was still a wee bit under the radar.

I rate every single player that i want to to go out on loan,Neilson, Stone,Forrester, Pollock, Denholm, they have a future at Hearts,but at this time we have better in those positions, and they aren't fully developed yet,they can gain that experience at clubs in our league,without that pressure being on them this season. And come back ready to go next season fully developed and hopefully more mature players. This is what Brighton do. The ones we should be getting rid off are the ones that are declining in value. Forrest will struggle to get a game,Halkett value is decreasing due to age and injuries the exact same with Kingsley. We have experienced heads now with Gordon,Clark,Kent,Findlay, McCart, Shankland Let's get rid of some of the olders Forrest due to better options in that position, And Age/injuries with Halkett and Kingsley.
