I agree with you about Lembikisa looking more of a winger than a full/wing back, but if Wolves were to agree to us playing him as a winger, would we really want to develop one for them rather than give game time to the wingers we have, who aren't exactly one of our major problems? Watching him yesterday, his attacking play seems to have improved in his time with us, evident in the way he played against some of the league's better players, but his defending hasn't improved, one little bit. To me he has all the defensive frailties of both Atkinson and Sibbick - combined - with his only attribute, as a right back, being his ability to bring the ball forward, but he does overdo it far too often and has a poor recovery, too, and is more likely to bust a gut chasing a ball in an attack than he is when he should be defending.

When you need workrate at home in more intense games or away from home, it narrows down the games McKay is needed. You look at Oda yesterday in particular…complete opposite to McKay. Worked the length of the park. Was back nicking balls defending on the odd occasion, then up the park working the full back. Don’t forget setting up a goal. You need to have the appetite to get into a game, sometimes go looking for the ball. McKay just waits.
