The Gorgie Ultras really have to 'up their game' ... I have it on good authority that Buddy Rich is ... or rather was a Jambo. πŸ˜† He even has a passing resemblance to Shankland ...

  5. Boy kills world Over the top revenge action film with Bill Skarsgard amongst a few others. Lots of fighting and has some great humour in it. Think this will become a fan favourite over time. 7.5/10

Everything else aside he’s injured all the time. Why would we want an injury prone player near the end of his career. It’s stupid.

Cost of living is reason why we haven't already tried to increase prices. Considering its anything between Β£800 + for english prem team. Think if the economy gets better I'd expect prices to rise maybe Β£100 a season ticket. That's an extra 1.5million a season. If we do that then probably won't be a waiting list because will price some fans out. Its cheaper than spending Β£40 million on the stadium. We as fans are already paying Β£10+ for FOH membership so realistically we are already doing it. Alternatively we could look at increasing it through FOH. If we could double our membership or increase minimum pledge. If we really want to break away financially from aberdeen and hibs then we need to look at this. Won't have Anderson forever.

Sounds good, Rangers are shite they won’t even be top 2 next season. Though personally I won’t be betting on that.

That part you wrote and I have highlighted sums up everything wrong with modern football IMO Either way as I say I don't mind what Dortmund are doing I was just playing Devil's Advocate.

Expanding the stadium will probably earn more money than increasing prices - but increasing prices doesn't have a capital cost, whereas building extra capacity is likely to prove horrendously expensive.

I can handle the irrelevance part, common sense tells me that, but would much prefer to be oblivious to the fact. (ignorance is bliss) πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«

Agreed, hopefully the club and Naismith can see that. Wouldn't mind another option in midfield and a different kind of striker as well too.

Won't these be part of an allocation not made available to fans anyway? I understand the attendance is the attendance and any tickets from that reduces the number going to fans, but I'm sure this will be from the main stand ie sponsors, UEFA, officials etc. I say fair play. They'll get low to average pay, compared to working for a regular company in their chosen field, if its anything the UK sports clubs and associations pay structures, so good luck to them getting a nice, once in a life time trip.

I think the club has a fairly dynamic set of directors too, not satisfied just to let the club drift with the tide. If there's any reputable companies looking for exposure and advertising opportunities, our board seem to have the skills to find them and strike very worthwhile deals with them. As others have said, this is an amazing time to be a Hearts fan & ST holder. Compare the feeling with the anger & despondency of 2020's demotion debacle - only 4 years ago !!

In other football news from Germany, Fortuna DΓΌsseldorf won the 1st leg of the Bundesliga relegation play off, away to Bochum, by 3-0. The lost the second leg, at home, by 3-0 and then lost on penalties. Hibsed it big style. I hope Dortmund win on Saturday.

  25. I think David Gray is genuinely the best appointment they could make. Its a Levein/Robbie in 2014 situation. Malky Mackay could offer a lot of quality mentorship to Gray and help push him (and Hibs on). That said, the team is fundamentally weak. It doesn't have a spine, and unlike in 2014, they can't start from scratch. I think it will be a very tough job, and I'd go so far as to say, success for them would be top 6 next season, with a view of continuing to ship out dross each window. I hope they go foreign, or outwith Scottish football. IMO that holds the greatest possibility of disaster. Someone with a strong personality likely to clash with Mackay as much as possible please.

Yeah, I think this is the boring reality of it Although, the important thing is to look at where we were 10 years ago, versus now - not in a sense of settling for what we have, but recognition in how far we've come. The club has a huge amount of potential, and I don't think we're even that deep into harnessing it yet. Once further stadium expansion takes place, and modern facilities can be implemented into the Wheatfield, we'll kick on even further. In the meantime, steady growth, year on year improvement (on and off the field) and continuing to make the right decisions.
