Summer 24 Transfers - Vargas signs 5 year deal ( updated )

I could not quite grasp your explanation and you'd rather be rude and defensive instead of offering clarification - so I'll ask again. What are the guarantees you think we should seek? -
I don't think any of the people traffickers are on the boats. Its only the migrants. The criminals supply the inflatable boat and outboard motor, and a low-ranking criminal overloads it with migrants on the French shore and waves it goodbye. Occasionally the French police manage to arrest one of these low-ranking criminals - no idea if anything comes of it though. We like to trash the Tory attempts to deter these crossings and how they try to process asylum claims, but tbf I'm not aware of any country that has a "gold standard" procedure for dealing humanely and fairly with these sort of numbers of "illegal" migrants from Africa/Asia.

Probably the hardest cup tie we had, and played better than we did in any of the other 4 games with them. -

I guess we won't be seeing Pollock before the end of the season. -
Like many have posted on this forum we’re hopefully embarking on an exciting journey and I believe that given time Naismith will go from strength to strength. Whilst I appreciate it’s still early days I’m old enough to recall Alex Ferguson’s initial success with St Mirren and I’m hopeful we’re about to embark on a similar journey with Naismith at the helm. 🤞 There I’ve said it! 😀

I think as a pure strike Forrest's is better. However goal of the season should take context into account IMO and Shankland's had strength and composure as well as an outstanding finish on his left foot in injury time of a New Year's Derby. Shankland every day for me. -
Listen I think Neilson was a good manager for us & I backed him right up til he became untenable, but 4th behind Aberdeen really doesn’t tell the whole story of what caused him to lose his job. See if Aberdeen had a great season and finished on 65+ points then fair enough. They didn’t though, they were genuinely poor & we still couldn’t match their pretty low total, that’s what annoys me more than anything.

Mr J.P. Ellis... A thoroughly deserved recognition award. Doesn't allow the wool to be pulled over his eyes and knows the trusr circle within the clubs fan base. Been through the turmoil, trials and tribulations... Good man 👌🏻

He’s probably too long in the tooth to moving any time soon.

Currently 6th and 7th and fighting it out for European spots, Lorient will lose both. -
We are going places. If Beni sees his future elsewhere then good luck to him, we can find someone better.
-
I really hope he stays for a few more years and gains the valuable experience of maybe 3 European season while closing the gap, he’ll know more than anyone that the managerial merry-go-round can be a disaster. Also, his Mrs has opened her own dental practice since he retired so he’s hardly going to want to move down south and leave her here - I hope anyway.

Has anyone ever cheated on their better half - and lived to tell the tale?

I wonder if a laddie at a certain lassies work has seen this? It would be good advice for him (and her) -
Whatever, you've nailed your colours to the mast.

Similarly, there are local and European elections coming up here, and a general election expected within months, and we have a new Taoiseach who wants to revitalise his party's popularity. So even if Ireland's idea of deportation legislation wouldn't work, it's a bit of an electoral gift for him to be able to pass it.
