St Johnstone Sold to American Buyer

Even then we would probably be pipped for the league title on goal difference!

Places you have never been but would love to go to

Best city in the world, I love Bangkok. The smells are pretty disgusting but it kind of adds to the charm.

Which is grand but sovereignty of the people really doesn't amount to much different to what we have. Plenty of states around the world declare that their people have sovereignty but in practice they operate with very little difference to any other western democracies. (I won't bring in dictatorships which declare such stuff either). If we take the sovereign wish of Scotland to be expressed via their voting for example unionist parties have rarely, if ever, received less of the vote combined than nationalist ones in Scotland. Should that therefore be taken as the sovereign will over and above returning of seats?

Is there anything in politics more shit than the Labour Party?

Given the result last night in Blackpool, if say there are a lot more useless things in politics than Labour.

Yep, here we are. We had a referendum, the independence vote was held and e voted to remain in union. If rhld another referendum, the nation would vote and I've absolutely no doubt that despite more lies from nationalists, result would be exactly the same. It's a bitter minority who continue to agitated for yet another vote, and try to cause as much division as possible, all because they refuse to accept the majority view. Just get on with day job of government and run the ****ing country without constantly bleating about how life is unfair.

i think there biggest problem will be players not wanting to take pay cuts and other clubs not being able to afford the ridiculous wages some of them are on

What was polling running at when the act was actually passed? Of course JJJ may have meant if held today but perhaps it was more an innocent misreading of something saying at the time it would have failed. The closest I find is a consultation which has 53% in favour of marriage for all couples in 2012.

Apart from this one! ♥️ For the old timers this was the famous Hearts strip and I’d love to see us playing another season in it for old times sake.

But it wasn't. It was held and you lost and if it was held again now, the result would be the same The majority of Scotland doesn't want independence, it really isn't that difficult to understand.

A misleading analogy I think Scotland is not some child of the union It is one of the two signatories of a bilateral treaty which brought the UK in to existence The sovereignty of the Scottish people is not something to be "given" or "withheld" It is ours by right

Hearts v Killie at Tynie Killie make a sub and Chris Johnston a winger comes on. He was 5 foot 4. Greeted with a shout of ‘Hi Ho’ from a lad in Section G

Yup that’s always my beef. Some like strips to go to Benidorm or the Gym as a fashion item - me I like to see my team wear a simple classic maroon and white strip - reversed for the away strip.
  16. To be fair, I've done that with Alan Forrest a couple of times recently. "Don't shoot...oh for fu.......YESSSS!"

Most ridiculous/funny shout you've ever heard at a game

My mate who is blind as a bat used to be embarrassed about wearing glasses so often didn't wear them at the football. When someone gave the ball away or messed up he would ask me who gave it away. No matter who the culprit was I used to tell him it was Miko. Was very funny watching him stand up and shout 'for f sake Miko' when poor Miko was no where near the ball. Loved Miko though!
  18. This! Hibs fans have a good record of such soothsaying. They did in with Halliday too in yon derby.

****The All In One LGBTQ+ & Related Issues Mega Thread****

I disagree with you, in that's it's not a fallacy. One of my primary tasks as a parent is to prepare my children for adulthood, to date I have, along with their mother, achieved this with my two oldest children, both now 38 and 34 respectively. My youngest will be 16 in Two months time, I have been preparing them for adulthood, ever since they started secondary school. Now his mother behaves completely differently to the mother of my two eldest. I admit it causes friction between us. She thinks I am to hard on them, by getting them to do things for themselves and helping with household chores. I make them earn their allowance(to use an American phrase), she on the other hand does it all for them. To me I am preparing all my children for when then their parent are no longer here.

Christ my memory is sh!t anyway was were abroad with a crowd of young lads on a stag, and took in some diddy game, we all ( without making the decision ) to applaud the nearside linesman whenever he made a call. Got to the point where he couldn't keep up with play and couldn't turn towards us at half time. You had to be there, anyway the game was so poor I can't even remember the score!

Would he be a better player if he changed his name ? Being a key for Scotland doesn’t really cut it with the elite clubs down there. Outwith McGinn and Robertson there isn’t anyone in the Scotland set up consistently making a difference at the top end of the EPL. Mctominay would be sidelined in a decent Man Utd side

    Steven Naismith Appreciation Thread

I don't think it's unreasonable for Naismith for Naismith to say what he did. “I think we have exceeded a lot of expectation, especially the expectation from outside after the first couple of months of the season". "We as a club" - unless you're party to the inner workings at Tynecastle I'm more inclined to think Naismith has the inside track on expectations within. As supporters, I would suggest that, for every season (and for most fans), we set out in hope, not expectation - distinguishing between the two lessens the inevitable disappointments.

I wonder how the Ref would have went if it was held a few years later in 2017 or 2018, after Brexit.
