Summer 24 Transfers - Vargas signs 5 year deal ( updated )
NottsJambo replied to Juho_Makela_Goal_Machine's topic in The Terrace
Question is, how many more do we actually need? Team A 1.Clark 2. Atkinson 3. Cochrane 4. Rowles 5. Kent 6. Beni 7. Hoff 8. Dandha 9. Shanks 10. Vargas 11. Spitall Team B 1. Gordon 2. Sibbick 3. Penrice 4. Kingsley 5. Halkett 6. Neilson 7. Denholm 8. Devlin 9. Tagawa 10. Oda 11. McKay Not used Grant Tait Forrest Boyce (This is not a case of picking which is the best team/formation) it's only to point out the depth of the squad already there.) -
I'm impressed that he seems to have known the best path for him at such a young age. The initial move (was it to a German second string squad?) struck me as odd, but it's clearly allowed him to thrive. Good luck to the guy, and congratulations on making it work after having the courage to move to a different country and a different level of football.

The idea of "challenges" to referee decisions is possibly the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

Your back ? I missed you . Been too long . 😝 -
I don't like this idea at all. The reason for footballs global popularity is it's fast flowing state of play and it it's simplicity. VAR has negated both of these to a certain extent, which is why it is so unpopular. Your suggestion adds another layer of complexity. The solution is to simply VAR not make it more complicated imo

That would be a novel approach for some -
there will be exception but they will reintroduce it at some point otherwise be left behind. VAR will not go away

Stayed there last week and it was top notch. As someone above said, Sarah on reception is a star and total jambo as well so had a great night blethering to her. It’s not rammed every night but they are doing well, trip advisor rating really helping. They are coining it in on match days and for Taylor Swift concert bookings. She also said it was a great place to work, treat the staff well, which was good to hear. highly recommend it.

When was the last time Rangers gave Kilmarnock a proper humping? 9 times out of 10 they are tight games, with only one goal separating them. -
Has anyone ever cheated on their better half - and lived to tell the tale?

Those are sports that have natural breaks between plays, like cricket. Football doesn't.

Basically you are saying a penalty from 18 yards instead of 12.

Give me beefy guys over skinny any day !! Yuck ! -
If what you say is correct, then what is the point of actually having police at football grounds, at a huge cost to the clubs.

So Killie giving Rangers a proper test every time they play has nothing to do with tactics? Interesting...... -

Why is that every time someone beats the OF some folk then use that team as a yard stick for Hearts and use it to beat the club up with. The OF normally lose max 3/4 games to non OF teams a season, they won't all be against us. Aberdeen, Ross county all being used as examples as trams that play well v them- both bottom 6. Killie with their shite pitch and who can't beat us this season. It's bat shit mental, some folks first thought really must be " why can't we do that" when a random club gets a one of result v them. Second thought is I'll post on jkb and use it to highlight how shite we are. It's clear every club has a shite record v them and the odd wins that clubs do get is not down a special tactic that we've missed, it's just football. Our record v rangers is honking, so is ours v celtic- folk have just forgetten as we've beaten them twice recently- we still have a poor record v them. -
100% spot on. In the USA they've had VAR in Basketball & US Football for years and they very rarely get things wrong. Just employ competent, unbiased people.
