Romanov still alive and kicking

I was talking to a Lithuanian colleague at work today and Mad Vlad still sticking it to the authorities.

He was present in Russia for a basketball match against his former team Kaunas despite the Liths still wanting him extradited.

Aparently he left the basketball team 15 million in debt along with us

There is little or no chance of the Russians sending one of their citizens to a Baltic state for any trial. He would need to have murdered somebody, in broad daylight, with cctv evidence and hundreds of witnesses, before they might bow to pressure.

I’m actually more curious about what Rodney is up to.

What? So cause it was 5 years ago we should just all jump on the Vlad love in cause somehow we managed not to go to the wall under his ownership? Nah i think i’ll still keep my opinion that while his initial buying of us saved us from one arsehole he left it in just as ****ed a state due to being a complete *****.

Anyway this has been done to death.

Sit and fume then. Doesn't bother me. I enjoyed his time here and the dominance over the shite which we are missing so much just now.

Nice to hear the Dear Leader is doing ok.

I won't hear a bad word said about Comrade Vladimir. PHM and I loved his tenure.

If we had managed to dispose of Birkirkara of Malta Vlad would have had the chance to see Hearts again this season.

With us he just left us with about the same debt he inherited.

I often hear this as means of justifying his actions

I see it as a rather enormous opportunity wasted

We're they 15 mill in debt when he took over ? I thought the debt he left us with was pretty much what he inherited from CPR. Not excusing him ripping the infrastructure to shreds though.

Who is justifying his actions? Fact is he did not add to the debt and indeed wrote off all the additional debt he created. Of course we can wish he'd eliminated the debt, but he chose to get his kicks otherwise. And not too many complained at the time.

I ****ING love that man. The end of his ownership left a black mark on his time here but he gave us more good than bad and we had some quality players paid for by him. Lithuania are arseholes wanting to send the man to jail.

The only reason I like him is that I know how much the pilrig crowd hate him.  5-1 and that iconic picture of Rudi with the Cup and stone faced Petrie in the background.

Sheer magic.

Bazzas right boot

The only team I've seen the of and in particularly Celtic actually fear us.

Even that 3-2 game, if skacel's shot goes in to make it 3-0 we would have taken six of them.

Margins....

He was right to call out the Scottish media and the SFA.

He had character, if nothing else!

He's a legend, PHM and most importantly a winner. We owe him for some of the biggest and best days of our Hearts supporting lives. My FoH donations and monthly subs are as much a thank you to Vlad as a boost to our future.

Oh and he totally owned Hibs. Not done that since he and BDO left the building.

Just hope he didn't have to pay for his basketball ticket.

Hail King Vlad, love live Queen Ann

He's probably raging that instead of sticking the V's up to the Scottish media and pumping Hibs, we're more interested in hosting family face painting days.........

russia won't extradite him because, as the panama papers revealed, the bank that used to appear on our shirts was part of a money laundering network that was used by the kluyev organised crime syndicate to launder $230m stolen from hermitage capital on behalf of a bunch of corrupt russian officials.
