I'm now on a culinary adventure to find as many peanut butter candies as I can.

Still don't know if I'm ready for peanut butter on toast though.

I got peanut butter M&Ms in the big B&M at Fort Kinnaird yesterday - they often have loads of American sweets. They had quite a lot of Reeses stuff too.

American nut mud is the best. I buy Skippy crunchy in 1kg tubs from a shop opposite the Festival theatre. Its a pity you can't get Jif or Planters here. Avoid Reese's nut mud. It's ******* foul.

Skippy crunchy with banana on pancakes is the pinacle of human culinary achievement.

If you know where to look Reeses do a giant cup.

I know you can order them online but shops rarely have them. Occasionally find them in those American sweet shops that open and close just as fast over here.

I suggest eating them in your home....preferably alone....

Crunchy peanut butter on toast is my breakfast every weekday morning. 1 thing I've noticed is that most supermarkets own brands a far better than sunpat.

I noticed Tesco are selling almond butter, as well as the cashew.  It's healthyish stuff with no added sugar though, so no doubt it will be rank.

Almond butter's ok - a bit thick though so doesn't spread well. Better for putting in other things.

Not convinced it's cheaper making your own. Nuts are pretty expensive to buy.

My favourite peanut butter is the Suma unsalted crunchy peanut butter, no palm oil or salt just peanuts.

Crunchy peanut butter and banana on toast is the dugs.  Smooth peanut butter and jam (jelly) all mixed together before spreading on a piece is also great.

Peanut butter cups, reeses pieces etc - rank.

This.  I'd add that marmalade on p/b even surpasses jam in terms of

Even p/b and mature cheddar cheese is decent if you're needing a sandwich that packs in the energy.

250g bag of salted peanuts.

Spread then out on a baking tray.

Light spray of oil over them

Put in an hot oven until peanuts are warm 2-3 mins max .Dont let them brown.

This releases the oil from them.

Take out and cool

Add 1/2 teaspoon of sugar. Then blend.

Add more sugar if you want.

Done.

Wife said you dont have to put them in the oven just blend :)

Was in a restaurant tonight that served an Elvis burger.

Hamburger with spicy peanut butter sauce and strawberry jam.

They got a bit pissed off when I asked if I could eat it on the lavvy.

1 slice white bread toasted, crunchy PB spread evenly.

1 slice white bread toasted, set honey spread evenly.

Slap 'em together, a big mug of Scottish blend with a glug of semi-skimmed milk and you've got a quick, easy, delicious breakfast.

Peanut butter on toast is shit.

Peanut butter and jam on toast is nice. Unexpected bonus that the jam stops the peanut butter from sticking to your teeth.

To stick my nose in briefly -- it may not be as available over there, but there's a pretty wide variety of peanut butters.  Crunchy vs. creamy is the biggest debate, of course, but there's also a wide range in the amount of salt and sweeteners put in them.

The spouse is a big fan of the organic unsalted crunchy variety we get at Trader Joe's.

Finally, those trying Reese's for the first time. I could live on those things if I wouldn't end up 300 lbs. Reese's is, like most big name American chocolate, pretty bad chocolate, but a number of places do a more fancy dark chocolate peanut butter cup.  Those are the best.
